"I took my parents on vacation to Xishan Island and found this Sanhu Lakeview B&B. -Service: The owner not only helped with our luggage but also made us some local Biluochun tea. When we didn't know what to order for lunch, he recommended Taihu delicacies. Perhaps because most of the dishes feature Taihu seafood, the food was beyond our expectations! -Accommodation: The decor is clean and minimalist, and the amenities are all smart. Opening the curtains in the morning reveals a breathtaking view of Taihu Lake, which is truly relaxing. For those of you who love taking photos, you can just snap away! There's a small garden in the backyard, perfect for swimming and barbecuing with family and children in the summer. There's also a 1,500-year-old camphor tree—I wonder if it'll last longer if I look after it. Hahaha -Location: The nearby Hengshan Island, lake, and restaurant are all great spots for sunset photography. The pillows were a bit high, though; the hotel could consider switching to one high and one low. The breakfast was decent and promptly restocked.
