a&o Weimar

There were many insects, the sheets were pilling, and we were assigned a room right next to the elevator—a cramped and oddly shaped room. We stayed on the side of 1 OG that wasn't facing the street, and people were out and about all day long. People were constantly smoking and chatting under the windows; I was woken up at 1 AM and 3 AM by people coming out to smoke and talk loudly. The smell of smoke also filled the room. I'm usually a very good sleeper, but I slept terribly these past two nights! Check-in at the front desk was also incredibly long; the person in front of us had been standing there for almost an hour, and we waited for almost an hour as well. I was quite tired after a seven-hour train ride, but I tolerated it because it was the cheapest hotel in Weimar. However, I didn't expect to sleep so badly, especially since it was so hot and I didn't want to close the windows. It was torture! Luckily, I only booked two nights.

It was a cheap dormitory (shared room), so I would say the facilities were adequate considering the price. The towels and bedsheets were well made and clean. It's about a 15-minute walk from Weimar Station on the other side of the bustling area. I was nervous at first about being in a shared room, but it was no problem at all. I think the cleanliness of the room depends on the manners of your roommate. I wanted to do my laundry, but it was 7€ and since I'm a foreigner, it seemed difficult to use, so I gave up and washed it by hand. Other amenities such as pots are charged, so it will cost money if you add other facilities. All the reception staff were friendly and helpful.

This hotel is average, the room is average, the price is not cheap, it is convenient to eat nearby, but the breakfast is okay, the bread is well baked, I like it very much

It is convenient that on the first floor there is a children's corner, there is a TV and many sofas, it is easy for me as a mother to look after the child and relax

I liked everything. Everything was quiet and clean. Convenient location.
