Very friendly and welcoming, accommodating staff who are helpful with requests and a fab location right in the centre. Nice breakfasts. Rooms are exceptional value, albeit some areas / parts of the rooms are a little rough around the edges. Would definitely visit again. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Lovely period hotel. Bar serving lots of craft ales and offer delicious fresh meals, our evening meal and breakfast were amazing! Friendly staff that couldn’t do enough for us, we felt very welcome. Room was spotless and bed was so comfortable we will definitely be returning.
Visited the Saturday market just at the end of the street & cathedral opposite the hotel, perfect spot to explore.
My only criticism was hotel has no parking, but we managed to park next to cathedral on Cathedral Green, BA52UE on the sat nav. It’s a 2 hour stay throughout the day but you can park easily between 6pm-10am

We stayed in a room in an annexe to the rear of the hotel grounds -- possibly above former stables when it was a coaching inn. Very cosy and quiet, with an enormous, comfortable bed.

Lovely quiet, clean and comfortable room, in a beautiful old building directly opposite the cathedral.
Delicious freshly cooked breakfast with lots of choice.

Our trip to Wells was great the hotel is very close to the shops which was good.. Great welcome and the food was really good to.. The consort was lovely and The Christmas market day as a suprise. Will stay again for sure.

Had a nice stay, room small in need of decorating. Bed very comfortable and linen immaculate. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Would not hesitate to stay there again. Fantastic location.
