Comfortable place with high hygiene standard

The capsules are clean and modern, so are the toilets and showers, however the rest of facilities are a little old. The staff is kind, the location is the old town which is an interesting place to visit but I personally would have preferred to stay downtown, however you can take a bus or metro and get there in around 20 minutes. I was here for over a week so in the end it's a little bit uncomfortable to stay in such small place with all my stuff (one large and one small backpack) but for a few days or with less luggage it's okay. I'd have gotten the double one if I wasn't on a budget.

At 23th of August 2025. In my wallet there was 430 US dollars. Presumably around at 11:00 am, 200 USD was stolen from staff, probably cleaning employee or maybe other employee. It seems around 11:00 am is a check-out time and it is the time when cleaning takes place. Around 11:00 am, i went to take a bath. With my personal belonings left at the room exposed wide open as the door has a security QR system for entrance. No one other than myself and employee can enter the room. There is several reasons why i can 99.9% assure that the theft took place here. -since my arrival in jakarta, i have never used cash, i only used my card. therefore possibility of a US dollar bill having fallen out mistakenly from mypart is excluded. -for thefts that usually happen at these hostels from employees, they usually take 30%-50% of the money. It makes harder for owner to realize immediately and easily that the money is stolen. Also stealing entire cash would force owner to file a police report more likely. -i always take a good care of my stuff, i always keep my wallet, cellphone, passport in a hip-sack(small bag). Whether i go for a restaurant or coffe shop, i never wear it off. -when i left for a bath at 11:00 am 23th of august, i remember my hip-sack was left open on a desk(immediately noticeable if the door was open), as it was my personal space. -I check my wallet very often whenever i use card, until 22th of august 2025, there was no problem. -If hostel wishes to check cctv for internal review check this time as well as 01:00-04:00 am of 23th of august 2025 -i will update number of my room soon after THIS REVIEW IS NOT INTENDED TO DAMAGE THE REPUTATION OF THE BUSINESS. IT IS POSTED FOR PUBLIC SAFETY AND BENEFIT. I URGE FOR ALL TO PLEASE TAKE GOOD CARE OF VALUABLE ITEMS, EVEN IF GOING FOR A TOILET, BATH, SMOKE, OR WHATEVER. MESSAGE TO THE BUSINESS OWNER OR PERSONNEL in charge of this business establishment. With a theft from an employee from your side cause financial loss and psychological damge to customers. It also damages the reputation of your business establishment. I will share a review of this incident for google and a booking site that i made a reservation from. DO NOT TRY TO TAKE DOWN THE REVIEW AS I WILL SPEND MY EVERY EFFORTS TO KEEP AND SHARE THIS REVIEW FOR THE PUBLIC GOOD. For the person who stole money. Please do not steal money. You are shaming your country and your fellow colleagues.

Great stay so far. The bathroom was a lil bit dirty because the water leaking from the little shower. It supposed to be fixed soon. One additional point, the positive ones, is that, there is a massage seat in the pantry now. It is very useful for many travellers or tourists. The great thing in here is the access. Right in front of the hotel, theres many museums and foods eveerywhere. It is crowded at night but it is a good thing for a tourist spot or entertainment. The staff is helpful. At first check in, the AC is not cool so I need to go to reception to make a complain, but it was handled professionally by the male staff. Thank you for everything

Nice hostel in the old town of kota tua. Pod is clean and have everything you need Location is convenient

it was nice, located in old town jakarta area so you can just walk 50m-100m to reach the museums. many restaurants nearby, worth it!
