Amazing mini trip

Very impressed.

Great location.

They made a birthday cake for my son last minute and were so kind to us. Everyone there was helpful and kind. The server at breakfast got a candle to put on his breakfast and sang. Happy birthday. It’s also a beautiful property and the kids enjoyed the obstacle course in the back.

Excellent stay. Nice check-in and lovely room. Really appreciated that everything is so well maintained. Dinner at the restaurant was also lovely.

The hotel, although historic, is in good condition. Grounds are lovely, rooms spacious and clean, beds were comfortable and shower was hot. We ate at all three restaurants on site and all were extremely good. Rooftop bar is a must. However it’s the staff that makes the stay. Everyone was so friendly and helpful it made the stay even more enjoyable. I would recommend if attending any event on campus to stay there versus outside campus.

Historic and beautiful property. Front desk staff appeared clueless on their job roles and what to do. Whenever they said my room was ready, we went to a room that was obviously still occupied with another guests clothes and property clearly visible and room was a wreck. Went back downstairs Got another room. It was a a double bed room. Very small. Water temps in the shower would go from scalding to ice intermittently. Low water pressure. Beds were not comfortable at all. For over $400 a night I expected much more. I understand and treasure all of the history and nostalgia, but the staff and management need to definitely step it up. Very disappointing stay.

Steps to Westpoint Academy and a hotel filled with history. Nice bar and rooftop. We didn't eat but the restaurant seemed to have a nice menu. As others have said very dated rooms but they are in the process of a refresh. Felt like it was a good value being that close to the Academy.
