Positives: - Very quiet - Fast and smooth check-in Negatives: - Paid a premium for my preferred room type but the hotel did not honor that. They listed my preferred room type and marked available and sold it to me. When I showed up at check-in, they automatically downgraded me to a different room type. Felt screwed by paying more and did not get what's promised to me. - the landline in the room did not work - Check out staff, Warren, did not dress properly with his pants zip half-opened, provided instant feedback, there was another staff there, she seemed to be another front desk staff or housekeeping. They both did my check out. Warren later explained that it's broken, and he needed to saw it. I shared how this could come cross inappropriately.

Travelers beware! (Exsp seniors/retirees) This hotel sprung an additional $38 a night fee on my 80 year old in-laws when they were traveling from out of state. I booked and paid for the room online, via Wyndham's website. When they checked in the room was dirty. They wiped up a spill on the bathroom floor and the towel turned BLACK with dirt. They approached the front desk manager with the cleanliness issues and were shrugged off and told that ”its hard to find help” and ”we have a lot of construction workers that stay here”. The room was never cleaned, and they were never taken seriously. The additional charge was for a small dog they were traveling with. My issue is not with the charge but the fact that it's not listed ANYWHERE on their website and just sprung upon you when you arrive tired from traveling with no other choice. It's not listed on the website when you book (they blamed this on cooperate as they ”dont know what you see when you book online because they have never looked at it” , then I was told I should have called and confirmed their policies myself over the phone after booking directly with Wydham, and then the manager Amy even went as far as to tell me that SHE always assumes there is a pet fee and I was in the wrong for not expecting one even though she has no clue what IGH or Marriott does, she only knows her hotel policies. She even went farther to say they cannot publish the rates because they range from $38-100$ extra a night at check-in and are on a ”case by case basis”. What hotel can't publish their rates? This is insane. As a customer we have the right to know what we will be charged. This place is a nickel and dime the customer, make up rates as we go, case by case basis that has an excuse for EVERYTHING. If you stay beware! They point their finger at cooperate, and corporate points it at them. You as a customer are just screwed.

We spent two nights here recently. For the first time ever, after we checked into our room and were relaxing, someone came in. Apparently, there was a mix-up in the rooms and they had put us into the wrong room. Some poor teenage boy got an eyeful of naked middle-aged lady boobs. Probably scarred for life. There was only one person on staff at the time and loads of people arriving for some kind of basketball tournament. However, our room was clean, very quiet, and the guest laundry worked great. This hotel is located a bit out of Clarksburg proper. Yes, breakfast is paid for ($10 per person) and you have to preorder the night before. We had no problem with the internet. The bed was a bit hard for me, but other than that it was fine and great for the price.
