The hotel is situated on an outcrop of land in a lake, making for a lovely setting. The room was comfortable and well provisioned for a short stay. There does appear to be an issue with flies entering the rooms during warmer weather, as we were advised to keep the windows closed. However, they still managed to find their way in, which caused a minor irritation. The only other issue we had was a lack of hot water on our second evening, so we were unable to have a bath, which was somewhat annoying. On reporting it to reception, we were told that no other guests had reported an issue, and that nothing could be done until the maintenance staff were on duty the following morning.
We did not eat or drink the hotel, but had we done so, a 10% service charge is levied on all transactions, which seems a little excessive, since the food and drink is already sold at inflated prices. There are, however, plenty of decent pubs within a few miles of the hotel.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel for a short stay.
