The B&B is in a nice, quiet location away from the town center. Northern Lights were visible, too! The staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Breakfast was nothing fancy, but it was a warm meal. It's pretty no-frills, but that is the Yukon way. The beds were very firm. Don't expect nightly cookies or morning baked goods, but more importantly they have laundry and you can have coffee and tea whenever you like it. There are a couple of friendly dogs, too!

We stayed in 24 different properties during August 2023 on a driving trip from Minnesota to Alaska. Our primary criteria for evaluating a lodging property include cleanliness, sleep quality, price given the season, ease of luggage transfer and use, and wireless speed and security. Other plusses would include location and view, breakfasts, and availability of restaurants close by. We don’t watch TV so can’t tell you about the quality of service. Lodging prices at Hidden Valley are substantially below other establishments in Whitehorse. The property is located a bit west and north of Whitehorse, but easy to find. It probably takes about ten minutes to get to downtown Whitehorse from the property. There are several rooms on the second floor of the house, each with its assigned full bathroom. Ours was immediately adjacent to our bedroom. Our room was well-furnished with two single beds. While there is a relatively high stairway from the parking area to the entry porch, and the room was on the second floor, there was no problem moving luggage because a strong young staff member offered to do it for us. There are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity. We drove into Whitehorse for dinner. The breakfast was very good—better than you could have gotten in a restaurant. It featured an omelet followed by a crepe, all made to order as people arrived for breakfast. Our breakfast companions were interesting, and we had stimulating conversations with them before we needed to go. I would rate this among the 6 best places we stayed on the trip, based on the total experience. The price was very good relative to alternatives and the value of the stay. The lodging was good—probably equal to the average of places we stayed. The experience and ambience were excellent and one of the high points of the trip. So, you have to ask yourself what you’re looking for. If it’s just lodging for the night, then you might decide to stay based on price alone. Otherwise, there are probably more comfortable alternatives at a substantially higher price. If you’re looking for the opportunity for a more local experience along with the chance of meeting and talking in-depth with more interesting travelers, this is worth booking. We’d definitely stay here again.

My husband and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary with a trip to the Yukon. He chose the accommodations and did a great job! Our experience here was wonderful. The girls Claire and Sophie prepared amazing breakfasts every morning. They were friendly and accommodating to sensitivities and allergies. We were here for 6 nights. The room was clean as was our private bathroom. We were in the Red Room and had beautiful views. One night I even rolled out of bed at 1:15 am to watch the Aurora Borealis work her magic! We would highly recommend Hidden Valley B & B to enjoy a stay in the Yukon!

Stayed one night for a quick trip to Whitehorse, and I don’t want to leave! Had a wonderful dinner of bangers and mash, followed by a wonderful parfait. The next morning, the owner made me a beautiful plate of savory bread pudding, covered with hollandaise sauce that was absolutely delicious! She also made my friend a gluten free breakfast of eggs and gluten free toast! The owner/staff are very friendly and accommodating! The gardens are gorgeous! The owner/staff also didn’t mind us partaking in a few joints during our stay. It was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend that anyone staying in Whitehorse consider staying here.

The room had not been swept or mopped in some time. There was human/dog/cat/synthetic hair/fur all over the sheets, pillows and the floor in the bedroom and bathroom. Additionally, a pill, of some type was found on the floor and the bed skirt had large stains. The room is hot, even with the outside temperature less than <60/15.6 degrees. The internet is beyond slow, almost to dial-up speed, so slow it is virtually unusable and I was the only one on the system. The outside has not had it’s spring cleaning so it looks shabby. On the bright side, the employees were friendly and very helpful. Pictures available.

Owner selects reviews that she wants published. Beware. Arriving was chaos. Vehicles were parked every which way.…school bus, guest vehicles, many property buildings like barns and sheds. it doesn't have curb appeal. you almost think you must have the wrong address. you walk in. Greasy food smells (old restaurant smell) greeted by a person that showed me around. clutter everywhere. no sense of taste in decorating. No darkening shades or drapes. No toiletries. "staff" are random people dressed in everyday clothes. one served us breakfast and said if it isn't hot enough, warm it up. I wasn't aware that this was a multiple guest stay. post pandemic, people may not be ok with this. No quiet hours. Music was playing, guest was singing and playing harmonica and guitar. daylight in the summer months keeps going. no fan. one window opened in the room. wasn't able to close it. owner was not friendly. sour face, business. like keep the engine running I'll be here to collect money in the morning. watched me struggle parking my truck in a corner while she could have moved her car as she sat in it. Write a short sentence to sum up your stay.

Booked this B&B based on great comments and because of its location away from light pollution so more chances of viewing Northern lights. We were given Red room with northern view window so it was convenient trying to watch Aurora from our room. Room and the surroundings were nice and very beautiful, house keeper and owners were super friendly and the breakfast was really amazing. Cons: 4 rooms on same floor, 1 has ensuite others have exclusive bathrooms but in the corridor and not attached and during night people walking on wooden floors going in and out becomes very noisy so not suitable for people who cannot sleep with some noise around. 2. Everyone need internet now a days. That is a bit of problem at this property. We were given a single use code with very low speed and limited capacity internet which expired in couple hours trying to upload pictures. When we tried to use the code for my wife phone, it was declined being only for single use. Sent text message and called owner but didn't get other code. Later, I met with a family in night who were also not even given the code, she requested to use my phone to call owners (as they were from USA and had no service). The owner brought 2 codes for her ( and she was kind enough to share one of her codes with me). Don't understand why the room charges doesn't include a regular internet connection for our cell phones and laptop alike.

Maison atypique, extraordinaire et très propre. Les hôtes sont très accueillants et le petit-déjeuner fait maison est succulent ! Notre seul regret est de n’avoir pris qu’une nuit ! À recommander absolument. Barbara & Ophélie
