Spark by Hilton Wichita East

This was a great place to stay. Very clean, employees were helpful, and the location was off Kellogg , easy to get any where in Wichita.

Overall, this was a decent stay. The room was an average size and had a microwave and mini fridge, which was convenient. One thing missing was a coffee maker and ice tray, which is something I usually expect at most hotels. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was quite small, and the sink being located outside the bathroom wasn’t my favorite layout. I stayed on the bottom floor in Room 109, so I didn’t feel comfortable opening the window since people walking by could easily see inside. If privacy is important to you, you may want to request a room on a higher floor. The front desk staff were polite and helpful. The lobby is small, but the hotel is in a great location close to restaurants, stores, and the mall.

Traveling up from Texas to Minnesota for a funeral, we happened upon this unknown (to us) gem. Dan was wonderful helping us get a room so late and made sure we could get to it as easily and painlessly as possibly. It was such a pleasant overnight that we stopped again on the way home. Ron and Mayra were also very nice when we were leaving, so I feel the need to shine a spotlight on them as well. The best part? They are all aware of ADA requirements and open to conversations to clear up misconceptions.

First time staying at Sparks by Hilton and was presently surprised. Terrie was super attentive and helpful. Always making sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely stay again.

I had never stayed at a Spark before but needed a place to sleep for one night on a road trip. I saw the price and checked out the good reviews for this hotel here on Tripadvisor and they weren't wrong. Hotel is right off the highway and easy to find. Terrie checked me in and as other reviewers have mentioned, she is great! I had a King bed room on the 1st floor. It was super quiet, very clean, simple, and comfortable for what I needed. Another reviewer mentioned that if you are on the 1st floor your window is too - mine was actually lower than the parking lot because of the way the lot slants a bit at the back of the building, so although I didn't get as much light (it was evening anyway), I didn't have to worry as much about anyone walking by. The shower had good water temperature and pressure. The microwave and fridge were clean and worked. As a solo traveller, I felt safe the entire time. On the Spark website it mentions that the breakfast is simple on purpose, but as a vegetarian, it was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had in a long time - bagels and muffins fresh with lots of spreads to choose from, fresh yogurt with several toppings to choose from, juice, coffee, hard boiled eggs, cold cereal and instant oatmeal with both regular milk and oat milk (thank you for the non-dairy alternative!). If passing through Wichita again, I will not hesitate to book a room at this hotel again.
