Courtyard Wichita at Old Town

Very nice stay in the heart of Old Town. I lived in Wichita for 6 years when I was stationed at McConnell but this is my first time staying here. Very nice staff, Lester checked me in and Alejandra was a cool bartender to talk to. Room was nice, hotel is beautiful. My only small complaint is that the bathroom was already empty but I just used the handsoap instead. Price wasn't to terrible for the location. 8.5/10

I enjoyed my stay. The front desk staff were excellent in addressing questions and requests.

Very clean room, quiet, beautiful entry and halls. The front desk receptionist were very kind and the bartender was amazing.

Basement room, no exterior window, only window viewed into breakfast court. Curtains did not close. Should warn guests if they are getting a substandard room

Hotel need to disclose all charges or authorization before holding money on a card. For example, parking and I am handicap, a Titanium member.

Does not meet typical Marriott standards. Beer bottles and garbage scattered around the parking lot is never a good sign. As I walked in, I watched an employee step over / ignore a literal grocery bag of piss. I’ve never seen a grocery bag of piss before. Stains on the bathroom wall behind the toilet (pictured), clogged shower drain, chipped and cracked tile in the bathroom, curly public hair on the floor in the corners. And this is the renovated/updated room. This isn’t your typical Marriott, don’t expect any standards here. It’s 2025 and this hotel doesn’t have a vent fan in the bathroom so when you shower, the whole room gets muggy. It had one of those ancient wall air conditioner units you used to see in motels back in the day, and the floor around it was all sopping wet! Ice machine was on the 4th floor, what the heck? Dudes at the front desk were untucked and sloppy, the ladies had ear buds in and were watching YouTube or something. Coffee is $3.50 in the lobby lol, and parking at this joke of a Marriott is $16 per day in WICHITA. Not a world class city, but in Wichita, where 60% of the city is parking lots. If you MUST stay in Old Town, Wichita, do yourself a favor and stay at The Hotel at Old Town. It’s 2 blocks away from this embarrassment to the Marriott name.

Parking right next to a dance club, NO FENCE, cars racing through the lot. Put us on the side of the hotel where the Mexican Dance club played until nearly one AM booming bass as loud as they could. NO OTHER ROOMS ON THAT SIDE OCCUPIED, place was nearly empty - could’ve given us a quiet room. We were there to visit my son who has been on life support for a week. No hospital discount, LOUSY BREAKFAST we paid $10 each for and almost didn’t get, had to get night clerk to make sure we would get it and still had to get breakfast someplace else. WORST HOTEL EVER. We Have traveled for our jobs for over 20’years and this get the SHAMEFUL AWARD. The people running it should have to listen to that crap that passes for “music” All night every night as punishment for their rudeness and deliberately putting us on the worst side of the property while they definitely had empty rooms. Bulldoze the place!
