Berghotel Wiedener Eck

We can recommend the Berghotel Wiedener Eck without reservation! Anyone who wants to relax over the weekend is in good hands here! Clean rooms with a beautiful view, friendly and courteous staff, great spa facilities... If you want good food, especially game dishes, you will definitely come back. The medallions of saddle of venison, prepared by the chef himself, are a revelation! It is hard to imagine that game can be prepared better!! We were not the first and definitely not the last time to visit...

The hotel is beautifully situated at 1000 m altitude. We had booked half board and the 4 course menu was always excellent. The breakfast was rich. The service is friendly and accommodating. It's nice that young trainees also get a chance here. They did their job very well. Our room was spacious with a balcony and a beautiful view. The equipment is a bit older but completely sufficient.

The Wiedener Eck was once a small typical inn at the beginning of the 20th century. Apparently, several structural extensions then took place. The architecture typical of the Black Forest was completely ignored in the expansions. It's just not appropriate for the area. The house lives solely from its top location - that's it. The overnight prices m.F. are moon prices (approx. 200 € for the comfort double room with balcony) - the gastronomy also has high prices with small quantity / good quality. The rooms were renovated not too long ago (not the bathroom) and have a flat screen TV, the bathroom has storage space for everything that 2 normal people today BITTER miss. The structural structure is as specified by the architecture of the 20th century. The entire building is extremely charged in the June temperatures. (air condition non-existent) Relaxed sleep (at high room temperature) looks different. All in all, the balconies (wooden table with wooden folding chairs) are rather scruffy - little value is placed on them. The house is in dire need of an energetic renovation. The swimming pool is positive, as is the sauna. I also find the amount of the visitor's tax extreme - €2.40 per person per day! Are you crazy ? The hotel cannot do anything about this - these are the politicians who are responsible for such rip-off guests. For us, the Black Forest holiday was a lot of frustration - since there was always something missing at breakfast - service. No wonder the elderly gentleman (with a young man to help) was completely overwhelmed. We will gladly not come again.

We felt very well cared for here with our dogs. Everything, really everything was right. The service, the family atmosphere and especially the food was great. It doesn't get any better. We will be back.

I've never felt so good! Very nice staff and fine food from the region - you couldn't ask for more on a hiking holiday. The rooms including the bathroom are neat and clean. Thank you for the beautiful days!

Wir haben uns ab Ankunft wohl gefühlt. Sofort hat sich das Gefühl von Urlaub und Erholung eingestellt. Auf dem schön eingerichteten Zimmer stand für unseren Hund ein Napf und eine Decke bereit. Alles war sauber und im Bett haben wir wie Zuhause geschlafen. Super freundliches Personal. Das Essen ein Traum. Reichhaltiges Frühstück mit einer schönen Auswahl an Speisen. Der Wellness Bereich und auch die vorab gebuchte Massage haben die Erholung perfekt gemacht. Das Inhaber geführte Haus ist in jedem Fall eine Reise wert. Die Umgebung lädt zum Wandern ein. Wir werden sehr gerne wieder kommen und freuen uns schon darauf.

Nous avons accompagné nos enfants au restaurant pour un anniversaire de nos enfants qui étaient logés dans cet hôtel. Nous étions déjà venus dans cet établissement il y a plusieurs années. C'était très bien. Cette fois, nous avons trouvé que les tarifs étaient élevés et que l'ambiance dans la grande salle était nettement moins agréable que dans la partie ancienne. Heureusement, la serveuse ukrainienne était d'une gentillesse et d'une serviabilité extraordinaires. Un modèle à suivre pour bien des serveurs.

Wir waren das erste Mal im Berghotel Wiedener Eck, für eine Nacht mit Abendessen. Sehr netter Empfang, sehr persönliche Betreuung während des ganzen Besuchs. Kleine aber feine Sauna und Wellness Zone, sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Es gibt auch einen Innen Pool auch hier alles sehr sauber. Das Zimmer, das wir hatten, war sehr nett eingerichtet, gute Matratze und tolle Sicht über das Tal. Bad mit WC und Duschkabine sauber und funktional. Abends im Restaurant, wir hatten das Überraschungsmenü gebucht, war es toll. Sehr nette, persönliche Bedienung, die Chefin und auch der Chef der auch Küchenchef ist, waren bei uns am Tisch und haben selber serviert und erklärt, was wir bekommen. Gute Weinkarte mit vielen günstigen aber meines Erachtens sehr gut ausgesuchten regionalen Weinen und vielen offenen Weinoptionen. Das Essen war toll, echte Gourmet Küche mit 6 Gängen die alle perfekt und sehr lecker waren, was eher selten ist. Es gibt auch eine optionale HP, die ebenfalls sehr lecker zu sein scheint. In der Umgebung kann man sehr schön wandern auch kurze Spaziergänge weg vom Hotel sind möglich.
