Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Williams - Grand Canyon Area

They tried to charge a 100 bucks for my service dogs 3 pups that were still under 6 weeks, , after advertising pet friendly and it's been a week and 5 days since cancellation of our reservation and we are still waiting for them to issue our refund.... Very quick to withdraw your money when booking and to charge extra for pets (even service pets if you don't catch the charge along with a additional check in early.

Black mold in fridge, open water bottle in there too. There was medicine in a drawer, an old used inhaler, shower handle had black mold in it, every drawer we opened had something in it because they hadn’t been cleaned. Definitely do NOT recommend this hotel.

The bed was advertized as a king it was NOT…. maybe a queen .:: the breakfast was minimal could have done more than bread to toast and had couple fighting loudly next to us and no one took care of it…

The front desk staff were welcoming and friendly. Room was small but shower was recemtly renovated and room amd hotel was very clean. Breakfast was lacking, but for thr price, acceptable.

Manager is nice enough. The place seems kind of rundown, the rooms are nice enough and have a microwave which is always a plus. However the rooms have oddities which i call "homeowner specials" such as drywall screws to hand an iron or poorl caulked and painted trim in shower and bathroom. Overall you get what you pay for. For $57 this was not too bad.

The bathtub was very dirty. There was mold in the knob to turn the water on and off.

We were on a 30 day road trip around the country and this was our last hotel and first Econo Lodge of the trip. We hadn't really had any problems until this stay where we found bedbugs in one of the beds. A few full size bugs but quite a few small ones. I went to the front desk and talked to the manager Ricky who told me that he had never had any bedbugs before and he didn't have any other rooms available to move us to. I quickly checked and every other hotel in the area was full. So because we only found them on one bed, I moved my mom to that bed and slept in a chair for the night. Ricky also told me that if there was even one bedbug, he would refund my stay in full, which to this day he still hasn't. I showed him pictures the next morning and he said he had contacted an exterminator and would again refund my stay. I understand that things happen but when you promise to take care of an issue, take care of it. We had to take the time once we got home to sterilize all our luggage to be sure we didn't bring any of the bugs home with us.

The breakfast food selection was not good and the Orange juice tasted terrible. We also noticed in our fridge there was some yogurt that someone else had left behind and a charging cord. The freezer did not work so our ice cream melted.

Room was average. Clean but not sparkling. Everything smelled freshly laundered but the towels need replaced as they are stained and super thin. Coffee pot in room, refrigerator, and AC were all great. No bugs noted... another perk. Breakfast was advertised to be out at 6:30. We had a tight timeline for departure so were hoping for timeliness. Waited for 30-minutes before ringing the buzzer on the desk (no answer) and calling the front desk (no answer). After 7:00 pm called the manager number who apologized and had the breakfast out soon after. Overall, average hotel experience.
