Droombos

Favorite hotel in Windhoek, the rooms are out of this world and the place feels totally out of this world. Amazing breakfast too. One of my favorite hotels I've stayed out, 10/10

A wonderful place close to Windhoek - staff is incredible - rooms very spacious and stylish - bedding super soft - absolutely recommends el

Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented, served by the excellent, considerate and light-hearted waiting staff. When I appeared to have lost my passport just before leaving, Stephanie on the front desk instantly jumped into fully supportive tracking mode, and together we found it. The approach to service seemed excellent throughout all the staff I encountered.

Service was terrible, waited an hour for drinks, waiter was missing most of the time. They forgot our daughter’s food order so had to wait another 30min before my 4 year old could eat. Lunch took us 3 hours for just mains, we were so upset we didn’t have dessert. Not all the drinks were available in the menu.

Camping sites are much over ratet and not looked after. Not a place one would recommend. A bad smell due to a closeby drain Rusted braai grids, not clean No basin plug No shower curtain or mat. Carport not high enough for overlanding or caravan. No shade Gardens and grass not looked after Even complaining at reception no act was taking.

A great quit getaway just outside Windhoek. The rooms look like nothing from the outside, but are wonderfully cosy and perfect for a good nights’s sleep. The on-site restaurant is great - no need to go anywhere. A nice alternative to staying in Windhoek, provided you have your own transport.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Droombos. From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely lovely and we felt incredibly well looked after. A very special thank you for the thoughtful room upgrade — such a generous gesture that made our stay even more memorable and special. The staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their hospitality and attention to detail really stood out and made all the difference. We are so grateful for the kindness and care we experienced and would highly recommend Droombos to anyone looking for a beautiful and welcoming escape. We look forward to returning soon.

Absolutely great - highly recommended

What a wonderful place just outside Windhoek. The rooms are beyond luxurious, and are so much more than just another lodge room, we loved all the little personal touches. The restaurant and bar on site had the most delicious food. We loved our stay, and will definitely be back.
