What an amazing find i had with this. First and foremost is Chrissie the owner and manager. She is such a wonderful woman with a bursting personality and really cares about her residents. I arrived early on a motorcycle and met me at the door to accept my bagage rather than seeing me cart it around for the day without exception. On arrival she brought me a slice of apple cake complemented with fresh cream. She allocated me a two story room with a kitchenette and stocked the fridge everyday with fresh milk, biscuits and crisps. I was able to park my bike so close to the apartment, and outside the entrance, the bike was actually closer to my bed than my bed was to the wonderful, spacious and immaculately clean en-suite bathroom. Being secluded in the out of view from the road courtyard, and right under my nose, this allays any fears anyone should have about security, especially vulnerable vehicles such as motorcycles. This was so convenient, I was able to load/unload my bike each day whilst it was raining without actually stepping out of my room here. The room was very spacious and well equipped with a TV in both the bedroom and upstairs room, where you can lounge on the very comfortable sofa, beneath the wonderful two sky view Velux windows, complete with blackout blinds. On my arrival, I was cold from the ride up but the very well equipped heating system quickly warmed me up and throughout the week was able to dry any wet clothing thanks to the massive heated towel rail in the bathroom. Breakfast was not just delicious being hot, of great quality, and served as both english, and a freshly sliced fruit salad, Chrissie made seating here a great experience. The B&B is so popular she gets regular visitors that stay over on certain days, and Chrissie plays a great host in both introducing the gusted to each other and including you into the conversation if you wish. This provides such a homely feel as you don't sit down to eating in silence. I met some lovely people at these breakfast sessions, but this is obviously optional if you'd prefer to keep yourself to yourself. The lane is quiet but there are two decent pubs a less than 10 minute walk from here, and there are umbrellas available if required. Whilst large luxurious hotels offer Spas, gyms etc you will not get the personal and homely experience that The Motor Coach House offers, and on balance I would opt to stay here rather than any corporate hotel chain. This was a business trip for me but I would not hesitate to take my family back.
