I was accidentally given the access key to an already occupied hotel room and I walked in on a couple watching tv. I could only apologize to them and wonder how the cardinal sin of hotel management just occurred. Got it fixed with the attendant’s sincere apology and I enjoyed the (correct) room until the toilet continued to leak and refill every 10 minutes that evening while trying to sleep and the king bed frame came apart at one corner (at no fault of mine) and the entire bed collapsed on one corner, which was promptly repaired by maintenance the next morning. However, made for an unbalanced night’s sleep since I was not able to repair this myself even temporarily in the middle of the night. Glad to see a free continental breakfast the first morning that was basically coffee and cinnamon buns, cookies vs real breakfast food, and there was nothing offered the second morning. Not even coffee. Had to purchase. We were not even permitted to pour our own orange juice at the free breakfast bar (first morning) for some reason. I was given 1/4 cup of orange juice by the attendant. Felt like they were penny pinching vs trying to provide good service. Granted, was during the holiday. They shouldn’t advertise breakfast included if they aren’t going to offer it each morning. Misled.
