Longjiang Gaosheng Inn

The room was clean and tidy, and the heated kang bed was so comfortable. I've fallen in love with Northern China's heated kangs ever since! There's beautiful snowy scenery right behind the guesthouse, with soft, fluffy snow. They even have a slide for kids to play on. Just playing in the snow at the guesthouse was enough to keep the children entertained.

The environment is great and the service is excellent. There's even a mountain behind the guesthouse where you can go and play in the snow. Their 'Guo Bao Rou' (sweet and sour pork) and 'Di San Xian' (stir-fried potato, eggplant, and pepper) are incredibly delicious. Every time we paid, they rounded down the bill for us. This is the best guesthouse I've ever stayed in, and I'll definitely be back here on my next visit.

Although the guesthouse is a bit rustic, staying here feels just like visiting a friend's home for Chinese New Year – both the owner and the local residents are incredibly welcoming and warm. Nearby activities, like dog sledding, are half the price of those on the mountain top, which I highly recommend.

There's a direct bus from Harbin to Snow Valley, which drops you right at the guesthouse entrance – super convenient! The home-cooked meals were delicious and reasonably priced; we ate all our meals there for the two days we stayed. The front desk even had anti-inflammatory medicine, which was a huge relief when I needed it. They can also help book all your outdoor activities, making arrangements very thoughtful. We had a fantastic time!

Had a great experience, and there were even people to guide us around, highly recommend. You can contact the innkeeper to arrange for a car, buy tickets, and even meals, which was super convenient. The owner is also very nice. Highly recommend staying here.

First, the pros: The villa offers a great view, right above the snow tubing track, which made the kids very happy. Staying in a detached villa also meant it was quiet. The underfloor heating worked wonderfully, keeping it very warm. The restaurant's food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. The 'Guo Bao Rou' (sweet and sour pork) was especially good; other places either charged more or offered smaller, less tasty portions for the same price. On the second day, we went to Wusongling, and there was a guide who was great at getting everyone excited, taught us how to ski, and helped with photos and videos. The 400-yuan ticket was definitely worth it. The owner and their family were all very welcoming! Now for the cons: Upon entering the villa, there was an unpleasant smell, like fresh renovation, though the front desk said it was just the smell of wood. People sensitive to smells might want to be aware of this.

The owner was so warm and friendly, it felt just like coming home. I'll definitely be back if I get the chance.
