The landlady is incredibly nice; she helps arrange everything we want to do. Right outside the door, you can play in the snow, and there are also: Northeastern specialty fruit platters, a traditional sugar-coated hawthorn (tanghulu) making experience, a Northeastern floral padded jacket experience, and a 'splashing water into ice' activity.

We stayed here with our 4-year-old child and had a very pleasant experience. The guesthouse area is beautiful and well maintained. There is a front yard where children can freely play in the snow, build snowmen, and enjoy winter activities. When it gets too cold, you can simply go back inside the house without needing to walk far. The guesthouse is also conveniently located near an amusement park and a large stage. In the evenings, there are bonfires and fireworks starting from 7:00 PM, which adds to the overall experience. The amusement park is more than sufficient for young children. For those looking for more adventure, the owner can help arrange activities such as fishing, skiing, snowboarding, or snowmobile rides at nearby locations within about 3 km. There is really no need to travel far to places like Wusongling or Bear Hills, as there are plenty of activities available nearby, and the area is not crowded. The only downside is that there is no ski conveyor or lift, so you need to walk uphill if you want to ski again.

The owner pre-booked a bus for us from Harbin to Xuegu, which dropped us off directly at the guesthouse entrance. They also provided shuttle services to and from the ski resort. Frozen pears and frozen persimmons were aplenty, and in the evening, they even taught us how to make candied hawthorn skewers – the emotional value was off the charts! The guesthouse is centrally located in DongSheng Forest Farm in Xuegu, just a short walk from various iron pot stews and small BBQ joints, which was incredibly satisfying! I even got to experience sleeping on a traditional heated brick bed, and I honestly didn't get enough sleep, haha… I hope to have the chance to visit Xuegu again and stay at Jiayi Guesthouse!

The owner is incredibly kind and enthusiastic! As soon as you book, she'll contact you with all sorts of tips for dining, entertainment, and other important info. She even helps arrange bus transfers to and from Xuegu to Harbin, Jilin, and other places. The inn's location right next to Xuegu Street is super convenient, and the rooms are clean and tidy. I've never slept in such a huge bed – I could just roll around all night! They even put up a Christmas tree in the courtyard, which looked amazing for photos when it snowed!! Absolutely gorgeous!! During my two days in Xuegu, I visited Wusong Ridge and trekked across Yangcao Mountain. The owner helped book all the tours for me; they picked me up directly from the inn and took me to the locations. She even joined me at Wusong Ridge, taking photos and videos for me. Xuegu is so much fun! I highly recommend everyone to visit!
