JI Hotel (Wutaishan Scenic Area)

I have no idea why this hotel, allegedly a "Ji Hotel," costs over 1100. It's like a converted village house; the ceilings are incredibly low, and the elevator is tiny, barely big enough for luggage. At the very least, there should be a standard for cleanliness. The kettle was full of lint and debris, and the most disgusting part was finding wet, used toilet paper! As for the service, we arrived very late, and the hotel never bothered to confirm our check-in. When I asked if they don't confirm with guests, they claimed they called me and I didn't answer. Yet, there were no missed calls in my history. It was an outrageously expensive experience with terrible service and hygiene. Truly disgusting.

The hotel is located right inside the scenic area, which was super convenient for sightseeing. They arranged a car to take us to Shuxiang Temple, and the tour guide they recommended was also very reliable. Overall, we were very satisfied.

This was my first time visiting Wutai Mountain, and I chose the Hanting Hotel. Xiao Zhang at the front desk provided excellent service. The hotel has convenient parking and is close to the main attractions. They also offer a free shuttle service to Dailuo Ding and Shuxiang Temple, which was a big plus! 👍 Our family drinks a lot of water, and the front desk was very accommodating, even replenishing our room with extra bottles later on, which we really appreciated! 😂 Very happy with our stay! 👍

The hotel is conveniently located right within the Mount Wutai scenic area, making getting around very easy. The facilities are modern and the room was spotlessly clean. The service was very thoughtful; they offer free shuttle service to Dailuo Ding and Shuxiang Temple, and even lend out hiking poles. Coffee and tea are available in the lobby. Breakfast was decent; not super lavish, but enough to fill you up.

The room was spotless and comfortable, and the service was very attentive. Wutaishan is beautiful, like a paradise on earth. My only minor complaints are that the room was a bit small, feeling a little cramped, and the price was a bit high during peak season. Otherwise, I was satisfied.

I looked at many hotels and guesthouses in Wutaishan and finally chose the Ji Hotel. Its location is probably the furthest in, with limited dining options nearby. Luckily, the hotel's small restaurant has good food and offers excellent value for money; you can't go wrong with their dishes. The hotel also provides a shuttle service (basically on-call), which I must commend! It's conveniently located near Shuxiang Temple and Dailuoding. Before I arrived, I contacted the front desk to help me find a carpool, which saved a lot of time and effort compared to taking a bus. The price of 100 RMB was also reasonable. The car picked me up directly from the station and took me to the hotel. For the return trip, I just told the driver my pick-up time in advance, and they were always on time. I would definitely choose this place again for my next visit.

Hampton by Hilton consistently delivers efficient check-ins and thoughtful details, making for an all-around excellent experience. The breakfast offers a wide variety of dishes that are not greasy, providing a comforting and satisfying start to the day, with fresh fruits included. It's truly great value for money.

The hotel room was very clean, and they replenished the water generously. The service was excellent, with a shuttle service to the Dailuoding Temple station. We only had to wait a short while for the car, which was incredibly convenient. It perfectly met our needs for the core temple area. I think it's even more convenient than staying near Yang Baiyu. After coming down from Dailuoding Temple, my legs were pretty much dead, so having a car immediately pick us up and take us back to the hotel was such a relief and much better than taking the No. 8 bus again. The hotel restaurant was great; breakfast had everything you'd expect, and it was excellent value for money. After a day of pilgrimage, we really didn't want to go out to eat. Being able to shower, throw on some slippers, go down for dinner, and then head straight back to relax was perfect. We eat mostly vegetarian, so the dishes weren't expensive; it was just over 100 for three of us each time. The only minor issue was the really small elevator, but other than that, everything was perfect. I'll definitely stay at Hanting again next time.

The hotel was very clean. I had to leave early in the morning, and they even packed a simple breakfast for me, with the eggshells already peeled off. That was really great! 👍
