Wutai Mountain Banshan Jungle Homestay

Nice place I stayed for 4 nights to explore Wutaishan beginning of February. Location: 100m from Jinjie temple (have to walk uphill a bit, it is the same pathway that brings to Daluoding temple), 300m from Dailuoding bus station. No restaurant inside, the closest place to eat is Dico’s at 300m (I have never been there as I prefer a local food), restaurants for both breakfast, lunch and dinner are 1km away. The room is small but ok for one person. The window face an indoor place (the entrance of the hotel and the stairs). The girl at the reception is very friendly and helpful.

Can't speak for the bigger rooms in this property - they're probably alright, and the location isn't bad. But - whatever you do, unless you want to feel like Harry Potter in the cupboard under the stairs - do not stay in the small room! Unlike advertised it is NOT mountain view, in fact it only has an internal window to the noisy reception area (do not expect to sleep after 7am). They reject any claim of false advertising - trip.com didn't see it that way and promised me they'd fix the lisitng. It's mouldy behind cheap plastic covering on the walls, and - most importantly - for both nights I stayed there the hot water was freezing cold. They told me the boiler for this room just takes a while to heat up (after they reset it, I assume), 1.5h by my measure (after another 2 it was cold again). They refused to give me another room, and when I complained to trip.com they went full gaslighting mode about it (telling them over the phone hot water is working). I cut my stay there short, and the next place - same price point - was infinitely better (yunlong hotel). Do NOT stay there.
