Hotel Indigo WUXI TAIHU NEW CITY by IHG

Our room was clean and bright, and the layout was just perfect for us. After checking out, I realized I'd left my headphones at the front desk. I contacted James, the duty manager, and he not only carefully put them aside but also took photos to confirm, and even thoughtfully mailed them to my address. The entire communication process was efficient and incredibly warm. His dedication to handling even the smallest details so perfectly truly touched me!

The lobby at Hotel Indigo is exquisitely designed, truly bringing out the essence of Taihu Lake. Manager Kevin Jiang, with his elegant and refined demeanor, handled my check-in very warmly and professionally. He answered all my questions and gave a detailed explanation of the hotel's design inspiration. He also recommended visiting Yuantouzhu or Bogong Island this season to see the seagulls, which I really appreciated. His recommendations and genuine attitude left a lasting impression on me. It's a pity that breakfast is served at the InterContinental, and while the gym on the top floor is nice with neat and compact equipment, there's no personal trainer, no self-service laundry, and no robot room service. I feel this hotel is more suited for business travelers. It's a bit out of the way for families with children, even though it's close to Metro Line 4, as K11 is still under construction next door. The nearby wetland park is good for a stroll or a night run. Overall, the room was quite good, with comfortable bedding and a high-end hairdryer. I'm hoping to come back in the summer to experience the outdoor pool!

Our overall experience had a minor hiccup, but it was ultimately brought back to a perfect score by the heartwarming service. The room continued the hotel's signature Wu-style Jiangnan design, and the Taihu Lake scenery on the wall had a distinct local charm. However, upon check-in, we found the air conditioning's heating effect to be poor, and the room temperature never reached a comfortable level. After contacting the front desk, the duty manager, Torison, quickly came to inspect the room. He didn't shirk responsibility or give perfunctory answers; instead, he arranged a room change. Throughout the process, his communication was sincere, and the efficiency of his handling exceeded expectations, resolving what could have been a frustrating situation very smoothly. Indigo's 'neighborhood culture' inherently values human touch, and Torison's service perfectly exemplified this – occasional minor hardware flaws are easily offset when warm service makes you remember the thoughtful care.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The high-floor room was spacious and comfortable, offering a fantastic view. The breakfast had a great variety and tasted delicious. What really stood out, though, was the staff's exceptional service: friendly, efficient, and incredibly thoughtful, making for a truly worry-free experience. Definitely a huge thumbs up! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Wuxi! Plus, the underground parking garage has charging stations, so we were able to hit the road fully charged the next day – a definite bonus!
