Holiday Inn WUXI CENTRAL STATION by IHG

Coming home from school, due to the high cost of direct flights, I always look for a layover city in the Jiangsu-Zhejiang area for my return journey, spending a day or half a day exploring. This time, Wuxi was my layover destination. Since I had very limited time and quite a bit of luggage, and wanted a comfortable stay, I carefully selected Holiday Inn Wuxi Central Station. It turned out to be a satisfactory accommodation experience. **Location:** Absolutely unbeatable, right next to Wuxi Railway Station. You can directly access the station from the second floor, and the B1 level leads directly to the subway. This is incredibly convenient for travelers with luggage, as transportation is a breeze. Taxis are also readily available on the first floor. **Facilities:** Overall, the facilities were satisfactory. The room was very large and spacious, and the bed was big and soft. All necessary amenities were available in the room. What's more, the floor-to-ceiling window offered a view of Wuxi station platforms and trains, fulfilling a childhood dream. Of course, there were a few minor issues. For instance, I specifically requested a non-smoking room when booking, and although it felt like it had been treated, unfortunately, the smoky smell was still quite noticeable. Also, when drying my hair after showering, the hairdryer stopped working less than half a minute after I turned it on. Fortunately, the prompt service in handling this issue compensated for the defect. **Service:** I would say the service was exceptionally good. Having stayed at voco Myeongdong in Seoul previously, I had high expectations for IHG's service, and it certainly lived up to them. Ms. Chen at the front desk, Ms. Guo from housekeeping, and all the front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast restaurant staff were excellent. Unfortunately, I can't list all their names individually, but I extend my heartfelt thanks. Ms. Chen was very attentive during check-in, adding me on WeChat and responding instantly to all my questions. Because the first room had a smoky smell, unlike other brands that would have me drag my luggage down to the front desk to switch rooms and then back up, Ms. Chen immediately told me via WeChat to wait in the room. She then personally came up to pick me up, helped me with my luggage to the new room, which was really great, and also provided a lobby bar voucher. Bottled water was also generously supplied by the hotel, and every staff member who delivered items to the room was smiling and genuinely helpful. When my takeout arrived and I wasn't in, they would even keep it in the front desk refrigerator for me, which was wonderful. **Dining:** The breakfast was also good, with a good variety and many Wuxi local specialties. The lobby bar also offered many drinks, but I would suggest adding freshly squeezed juices, as the taste might be better. **Value for Money:** Also good. I had purchased vouchers in advance, so it offered good value for money. Overall, I was very satisfied, especially for travelers with a lot of luggage who need to take a train from Wuxi Station. I will choose this hotel again if I have a layover in Wuxi in the future. May the hotel continue to improve!

The location is fantastic, right outside the high-speed rail station. Remember to exit from the North Square on the second floor; exiting from the first floor makes it very hard to find! Xiao Ding at the front desk was very enthusiastic and actively helped resolve issues – highly recommend! The room was quiet, and breakfast was good. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Wuxi.

This hotel boasts an excellent location. Parking is available on B2 (shared with the high-speed train station, and there are plenty of spaces). B1 offers direct access to the subway, high-speed train station, bus station, and Leyou Station, practically covering all transportation options in Wuxi. After getting off the high-speed train, you can go straight to your room without even leaving the station building! Absolutely fantastic. The hotel is fully equipped with all the amenities you could need; I won't go into detail. All facilities are high-quality. What I appreciated most was that the price didn't fluctuate much from the usual rates. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Xiao Zhu at the front desk, who checked us in, saw we had a child and proactively upgraded our room. She also gave us a Huishan clay figurine and drinks, which my child loved! 💕 During our stay, housekeeping was also excellent and very responsive to our requests. I didn't try the dining, so I can't comment on that. If I ever come back, I'll definitely stay here again!

The room was very clean, and the staff were very responsible. The front desk manager, Ms. Jiang, was incredibly enthusiastic and proactively asked about guests' needs every day. 👍 The hotel should definitely give Ms. Jiang a raise! 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Eight of us friends came to Wuxi for a trip and chose the Holiday Inn, staying for two nights. We were all very satisfied. After booking the hotel, we immediately contacted the front desk and exchanged WeChat with the manager, Wang Jiali. She understood our needs and prepared our rooms in advance, ensuring a smooth check-in. During our stay, any requests we had were responded to immediately, which was incredibly convenient. The hotel rooms are quite spacious, with new facilities and excellent service. The hotel's location is even better; it's very convenient to take a taxi to various attractions in the city, and getting to and from the train station is a breeze. Everyone agreed that if we come back to Wuxi, we'll definitely stay here again.
