I visited during Chinese New Year. There's parking available, and the village itself is small, about a 30-minute stroll. It's a good base to explore the surrounding area. The service from the staff (young man and woman) was excellent, making for a very comfortable stay. Since it was cold, the air conditioning was already on when I entered the room, making it nice and warm, and there was even an electric blanket on the bed. The wooden tub in the bathroom was perfect for a foot soak – so relaxing! The courtyard is said to be part of a former residence of a high-ranking official, which gives it a real sense of history. I'd love to go back if I get the chance.

This is an excellent B&B housed in a traditional old building. Chatting with one of the staff, I learned that the owner rented this old building in the village over ten years ago, purely out of passion! He restored it, and it has grown into what it is today. There aren't many rooms, but they are all well-equipped and thoughtfully designed. Plus, there's a small beverage bar, and during the Spring Festival, there was a volunteer helping out (a young man as well). The next day, we had to leave very early to get to the scenic area, and they even prepared warm snacks for us to take on the road! So considerate! It really felt like home! They also took a group photo for our family, which was a lovely touch for the festive season! Cleanliness: Felt great! Facilities: All good, and the local folk customs were charming.

This is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed at in China. It is like sleeping in a Chinese painting. The building has been lovingly restored and has a lot of charm. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the breakfast is bountiful. The village is tranquil, I have rested well here.

this place is even more wonderful than what is advertised. a truly whimsical hidden gem, and one of the most wonderful hotel experiences i have ever encountered. a little piece of heaven tucked away among the wuyuan countryside. from the moment we stepped onto property, we were welcomed and made to feel so at home, our every need and request was granted by the kind and friendly staff members who went above and beyond to make our experience special. the rooms, and the grounds are beautifully up-kept, every attention to detail is exquisite and effortlessly transports you to a peaceful state of mind. i can’t recommend this beautiful place highly enough. we truly hope we will have the chance to come back again someday. 🤍

A Healing Utopia Hidden in the Mountains of Wuyuan: A Stay You'll Never Forget My trip to Wuyuan was completely healed by Mingxun Courtyard! It's not just a simple place to stay; it's a resort paradise that blends nature, aesthetics, and relaxation into everyday life. I was immediately struck by the minimalist white architecture as soon as I got off the bus. Nestled amidst green mountains and clear waters, it resembled an art gallery. Stepping inside, I was instantly enveloped by the fragrance of bamboo and birdsong; the air was filled with the fresh scent of nature. The common areas were wonderful to explore. The café's specialty drinks paired with a four-compartment dessert were perfectly balanced. Every corner of the campsite and fireplace area was Instagram-worthy. The evening bonfire party and open-air movie further enhanced the atmosphere, and the laughter under the stars was unforgettable. Our LOFT room was impeccably designed. The light brown fabrics paired with the wooden furniture were both gentle and stylish. Amenities included a Dyson hairdryer and a smart toilet. Large floor-to-ceiling windows framed the mountain scenery like a flowing painting, and waking up to birdsong in the morning was truly delightful. The service was impeccable. The butler proactively helped with luggage and thoughtfully recommended nearby routes. Free parking and electric vehicle charging ports were incredibly convenient for families with cars. The food completely exceeded expectations. The freshly ground soy milk and vegetables from their own garden at breakfast were light and comforting, while the steamed fish and free-range chicken soup at dinner were absolutely delicious. At 50 yuan per person, the meal package was excellent value. The biggest surprise was the stream right outside the door. In the summer, splashing and playing in the water was incredibly fun, and the kids were even happier here than at an amusement park. The location is also superb, with Huangling and Jiangwan scenic areas all within a half-hour drive, making it extremely convenient for sightseeing. From the architectural design to the service details, from the natural scenery to the dining experience, every aspect reflects meticulous attention to detail. It was truly hard to leave; I left my heart in this mountain retreat. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Wuyuan!

A 500-year-old house. After years of accumulation, it has its own unique charm. A new scene with every step. You can take photos just by walking around the house. It is suitable for taking photos of large scenes. The breakfast is also very delicious. The village is very quiet.

The old house has been renovated very well, and the room is very comfortable to live in. There is not even a mosquito. The bedding is very comfortable. The breakfast is especially rich, and there is delicious Pu'er tea. The big camphor tree of Shangtan Village is right at the door, making it great for taking photos.

The environment is very good. If you are afraid of small flying insects, remember to light an electronic mosquito coil. You can also take a bamboo raft outside. The thousand-year-old trees are very picturesque. The breakfast is also very rich. There is a large table for two people! The lady will also help take pictures and send fine-tuning 👍🏻 It is suitable to rent a car here because it is a little far away, but everything else is OK

In Shangtan Ancient Village, we stayed in a traditional mansion and experienced the style of the Hui-style courtyard with a round sky and square earth. The renovation of the ancient house retained the original style, and the photos taken in the courtyard were particularly photogenic. There is an ancient barrier tree at the entrance. It is the filming location of the movie. Many people come here to check in. There are many ancient villages around that you can drive to, especially Qingyuan Ancient Village, which is worth a visit.

The homestay is very distinctive, the environment is comfortable, and the photos are very good. The staff are very enthusiastic and provide attentive service. The breakfast was delicious. The children had a very happy stay. It was a very satisfying stay.

The rooms are comfortable, the service is good, the food is delicious, it is pet-friendly, and the surrounding villages are convenient for strolling. There are also travel photography services. Overall it is good value for money. If I come to Wuyuan again, I will be happy to stay here again.
