The location was convenient — just off the highway, with an EV fast charger and multiple food options nearby. The hotel appeared clean and new. The breakfast was nice. Parking near the room was easy. The room was spacious, although it smelled musty — like dirty socks.
This was an overall bad experience because the hotel did not disclose the amount of its Pet Fee on Travelocity. We were charged a Pet Fee nearly equivalent to the room rate for the night ($75) (the industry norm is between $35 and $50). The hotel clerk was courteous, but unable to change the amount of the Pet Fee because it was booked through a third party (Travelocity). We would have lost our payment for the stay if we changed to another hotel, so we were stuck. We were left feeling deceived because of the surprisingly high Pet Fee. Nobody likes to be blind-sided. Although we are Hilton Honors members, we won’t be staying here again.
