The stay was not nearly as good as it was in the past.
First, the hotel front desk employee, didn’t get a name but it award a female. She acted as if she had no idea how to do her job. She charged my credit card for one night’s stay (I got two rooms for two nights) even though I paid in full through a third party. I got that cleared up. Then the guests were loud and obnoxious (not the hickey team) it was the other guests. They allowed the bus full of kids roam around as they wanted to, getting in the way of adult guests. Also, the hockey staff asked for an extension on the rooms which they were told NO they would have to reserve the rooms for another day, which did reserve 4 or so. The hockey staff told a person that her and her family could stay in one of the rooms they reserved for another night, this person was told no that they would have to be with the team or have the coach call the hotel in order to stay in the room, which one of the people is a photographer for the team. And after that the same front desk clerk that I had trouble with immediately rented the rooms that had ALREADY been rented/reserved by the team. In my experience that would be considered double renting of the rooms in which the hockey team had reserved/rented for another night.
This is not acceptable and me and my family will NEVER stay at the Tru hotel by Hilton in Wytheville BA!!
