Grand New Century Hotel Bell Tower Xi'an

The room is located within Xi'an city, allowing us to experience life as city dwellers for a while. It's very close to the Bell Tower, and you can see the Hanguang Gate of the city wall within walking distance, truly feeling the essence of Xi'an's city walls. The hotel's location is convenient; the distance to the Terracotta Warriors and the airport by car is acceptable. The room itself is comfortable, with a mattress that's just right – neither too soft nor too hard. We booked a deluxe king room, and it had good lighting. Being street-facing, there was a tiny bit of noise, but it also allowed us to feel the bustling vibrancy of the street. If you're a light sleeper, it might be better to request a non-street-facing room. This was a family trip with kids. During the National Day holiday, we received complimentary fruit. The hotel also included breakfast with a wide variety of choices, making it an excellent option.

Traveling to Xi'an during the National Day holiday, I chose the Kaiyuan親子房 (family room) which is a chain hotel located near several attractions. It came with a 2-meter large bed and a separate smaller bed. Both adults and children slept very comfortably. The only downside was that I was woken up at night by people drag racing on the street, and the pillows were too soft. Breakfast was quite varied. It's very convenient to get to many nearby attractions. Overall, a good review.

The hotel is right across from the Muslim Quarter, and there are many delicious food options just a 200m walk away. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and provided excellent service. The breakfast, a mix of Western and Chinese styles, met the standards of a five-star hotel. Highly recommended!

The room was quite new and spacious. It's surrounded by great food options and is very close to the Hanguang Gate of the city wall, within walking distance. There's even an elevator at this gate. You can leisurely stroll from there, exit at Yongning Gate, and walk one street north to the Bell Tower. Head west from there, and you're back at the hotel – a perfect loop! It's also very close to Sajin Bridge, and transportation is convenient. They even offered complimentary coffee, so overall, I was quite satisfied. Downside: Although breakfast offered many local specialties, the taste was far from authentic. Especially for a province known for its carbs and local flavors, dishes like noodles and Liangpi (cold noodles) didn't taste genuinely local at all. This was a major letdown, and I hope they can improve upon it.

The room was spacious and the room service was good. I'd like to especially commend the housekeeping manager; they were willing to resolve any issues. However, some of the staff working under them were a bit lazy and their service was subpar. The location is convenient for getting around, being close to the Muslim Quarter.

This is my second stay at this hotel, and I feel it has improved so much compared to my visit earlier this year. The service is as warm and welcoming as ever, and the breakfast selection is even richer now. Plus, you can get free coffee at the lobby bar every day, and it's surprisingly good quality for being complimentary. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient. We booked a day trip through the hotel's partner travel agency, which was much easier than booking online, especially since they offer direct hotel pick-up and drop-off. My kids and the seniors in our family were all very happy with everything.

The room was clean and tidy, and the hotel is centrally located in the downtown business district. We could walk to the Bell Tower, which made getting around very convenient!

Traveling to Xi'an with my family, I stayed at the Kaiyuan Manju Hotel Bell Tower, and it was a fantastic experience. The location is super convenient, making it easy to get anywhere. We booked a day tour, and the travel agency even offered pick-up and drop-off directly at the hotel. There are also plenty of dining options around the hotel. What really stood out was the hotel's breakfast, which was incredibly rich and included local specialties. The staff were very enthusiastic and helpful. The mini-bar in the room was well-stocked, and the air conditioning was a lifesaver in the hot weather. Having a self-service laundry room was also a huge plus, especially for summer travel. If I ever come back to Xi'an, I'll definitely choose to stay here again. A special thanks to a tall gentleman, who seemed like a manager, for his incredibly patient help. He was fantastic in resolving issues and gave excellent recommendations for local tours, which clearly shows he put a lot of effort into his knowledge.

This hotel is great, very convenient. It's close to the subway station and they respond to all requests. Plenty of bottled water is provided. Breakfast offers local specialties like Zèng gāo, mini Roujiamo, and Saozi noodles. The shower water pressure is stable, and the twin beds can be combined into a large one, which is perfect for families with kids. We even received a small gift for our child upon check-in. One day we had to leave around 6 AM, and the hotel arranged a packed breakfast for us, which was a great help. The soundproofing is also quite good.
