Manxin Hotel Xi'an Bell Tower Hui Fang

The room was quite old and smelled bad, with poor ventilation. The floor was incredibly dirty, the kind where your soles turn black after just a few steps, and there were even scattered hairs. At this price point and location, I can understand some shortcomings, but the room completely failed to match the photos online, which feels very misleading. The listing clearly showed a sofa, and that's precisely why I booked this room under similar conditions – to have a convenient place to put my things. For this reason, I specifically want to leave this negative review. Photo 1 is from the listing, and Photo 2 shows the single chair I actually got.

The hotel's location is fantastic – right in the city center, offering a quiet escape amidst the hustle and bustle. The city wall and Muslim Quarter are both within walking distance. They even thoughtfully provided a toiletry kit and complimentary drinks. A special heads-up: if you're not a fan of rooms with interior-facing windows, you might want to avoid the ground floor.

The room wasn't huge, but it was really clean and had a mini-fridge and powerful air conditioning. Breakfast was great, with Rou Jia Mo (Chinese burger) and Saozi noodles, and it was served until 11 am. They also offered afternoon tea and late-night snacks in the afternoon and evening. Plus, it's only about a five-minute walk from Bell Tower Metro Station.

The hotel is great, with a good location and excellent service. They handle issues very promptly. The buffet, in my opinion, is even better than what many places in Xi'an offer. Premium airport transfer service: We got into the car right after landing, saving us a lot of hassle. It was really good.

The hotel is super close to the Bell Tower, Muslim Quarter, and Kaiyuan Shopping Mall. The lobby is quite spacious and connected to the restaurant, feeling clean and welcoming. The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable. The front desk service was excellent, thank you! 🌹

To be fair, since the hotel opened quite a while ago, the room's hardware facilities aren't its strongest suit. The curtain switch was a bit faulty, but it didn't really affect its use. However, the cleanliness was very well maintained. The front desk and staff were all very enthusiastic, proactively offering help and resolving any issues, so the service was absolutely top-notch. The hotel's location is excellent, right near the Bell Tower, with great transport links, making it easy to get around. However, because it's located within a courtyard, if you're on a lower floor, you can only see the old courtyard walls outside your window. But this seems to be a common issue with hotels in this area; I've encountered it at other hotels in Xi'an before.
