Holiday Inn Express XI'AN BELL TOWER by IHG

This Holiday Inn Express, located right by the Bell and Drum Towers, is in a fantastic spot. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Bell and Drum Towers and the Muslim Quarter, and the subway is conveniently close, making getting around a breeze. The rooms are spotless and dry, and even though it's on a busy street, the soundproofing is excellent, so we slept soundly. The front desk staff were efficient, and the breakfast included a good variety of local snacks. Plus, they offer free Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) for guests to try on, which is a nice touch. Overall, it's great value for money, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Xi'an.

The room was compact but clean. It seems to attract a lot of foreign guests. It's quite close to the Bell Tower and not too far from the city wall. The breakfast spread was generous. Being right next to Metro Line 2 makes it very convenient to get to the North Station.

The room size was just right, and the breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices. It's within walking distance of the Bell Tower, about 1 km from Yongning Gate, and 1-2 km from the Stele Forest. The Xi'an Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Small Wild Goose Pagoda, Grand Tang Dynasty Everbright City, and Furong Garden are all easily accessible by bike.

Inside the hotel, the room was quite small (not much space to move around besides the bed), and the facilities were outdated (the drain clogged easily). The lobby area was a good communal space for eating takeout, which somewhat compensated for the small room. The bed was comfortable, which is really important for a 'special forces' tourist in Xi'an (meaning someone who packs a lot of sightseeing into their day). The hotel was generally quiet at night. Service was good; the front desk staff and housekeeping on the floors were always responsive to requests. Breakfast offered a decent variety. Outside, the location is very convenient, making it easy to get around. There are many photo opportunities and good food options nearby. If you're a 'special forces' tourist in Xi'an (typically out by 9 AM and back by 10 PM) and don't mind a small room, this could be a suitable choice.

All the facilities were well-equipped and easy to use, and the location was convenient. Our stay was fantastic! The weather in Xi'an recently has been quite pleasant, neither hot nor cold, which was perfect for getting out and exploring.

This stay was absolutely fantastic, the service was excellent 🥰. We also received complimentary bottled water upon check-in. The room thoughtfully provided earplugs. Breakfast was abundant, with a wide variety of choices, and the taste was great too 👍. The location is also perfect, very close to the Bell Tower, and there are many fun and delicious places nearby. Highly recommended, I'll definitely come again next time!
