Xi'an Shuyuanli Homestay (Bell and Drum Tower Yongningmen Subway Station)

Cons: Room had a weird smell that gave me a headache... Pillow was uncomfortable. But blanket was cushy. Living Noisy - You can hear people going up the stairs and talking. When the room above flushes you can hear it. The toilet door is glass so I can see light coming in from the toilet window.. Pros: Location wise quite convenient Staff tried to arrange a "cleaning" to help. But the smell returned. Not sure if it's from the aircon.. Lobby looks interesting Do not recommend if you are picky about rooms. Would not return

Amazing location. Just across the entrance to the City Wall, with many Restsurants and convenience stores around and 20 minutes walk to the “Bell Tower”. The Subway Station, Line 2 is about three blocks of distance. Line 2 will take you to most of the tourist attractions. The fastest, easiest and cheapest way to get to the Hotel from the airport is to take the speed train to “North Railway Station”, better known as Beizhand Station and transfer to “Yongningmen “ Line 2 Subway Station. Exit D-2, turn right and walk all the way to the end of the street. (about 300 meters! and them turn right again. The Hotel in located about 100 meters to the left. The street doesn’t allow taxis as it is a colorful little market but the best way to identify the place is looking at the white sign of the pictures that I enclosed. The Building is very old as it is located in an historical place. The entrance doesn’t look nice as they are doing some construction on the side of the first floor, but the reception and rooms are very modern, extremely clean, huge and comfortable bed, cold A/C, hot water and very nice staff. They don’t speak English but they use their translator. Highly recommended!!

Unfortunately we only stayed one night but it was a great stay with a very comfortable bed and lovely spacious room.The manager was really friendly and hospitable .Ed would highly recommend this place
