Xi An Yunqi Selected Hotel (Bell and Drum Tower Huimin Street)

Very good location, nearby all good hotspots. Very friendly staff, always able to help when asked for. Bed was very comfortable. Affordable hotel. However the room didn’t look the same as in the pictures. It was a bit outdated (stains on the wall) and it smelled a lot like cigarette smoke. The bathroom also was full of mold, so we cleaned the room ourselves quite a bit. We also didn’t use the WiFi since it was quite slow. While checking out they asked about our experience and want to improve in the future. If you’re looking for an affordable hotel, it would be an option to check it out, but I would think about booking this hotel twice in the future. Overall 3/5. Thank you to the staff though.

Quite good for it's price. The location is perfect: you're in the city center inside the fortress and near to the wall entrance, it's also walking distance from the subway. Opposite the hotel is the entrance to the historical academy, the entry is free and the place is beautiful. The room was a bit old but quite cozy and there was everything you might need for a stay. There is also a free laundry room in the hotel with one washing machine (although you need to bring your own detergent and there is no place for drying clothes). You can borrow an umbrella in the hotel in case it's raining outside. On the roof there is a restaurant where you can go just to enjoy the view, it seems like it is not necessary to order the food. In general our stay was quite pleasant :)

bit farther from the bell tower than it looks ;20 min walk) but that’s not the hotels fault. place did smell like cigarettes, so if that is a problem for you i wouldn’t stay here. it is located on a very nice pedestrian street full of souvenir and craft vendors.

For me the location of the hotel is excellent! It is near the city wall and not far from metro stations. It is right on a popular (mostly pedestrian) street filled with art vendors, calligraphy, and calligraphy supplies. And no wonder, it is a short walk from the forest of Steele museum- a Mecca for aficionados of history and calligraphy. The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating. This is in an old building. Too often I hear the excuse "oh the building is old" when facilities are broken down or outdated. NOT here! The rooms are nicely outfitted with contemporary furnishings. Be aware that because this is basically a pedestrian street, your taxi may have to drop you off about a half a block away. This hotel is worth the short walk.

Staffs are nice with a little english. The room is quite old. Location is near the tourist site, train station is quite far. Room is quite noisy at night. Internet is slow slow. Overall experience was ok

Very good location, the room had a window into the indoor corridor and we could see and hear people walking by at night time.

Pros: excellent location, attentive and friendly staff, easy to find. Cons: not like pictured, the rooms are very different and older than portrayed, the worst of it being the bathroom, which has some mold problems and toilet clogging/leaking. Fair price if you know what you’re getting into, but don’t expect the room to be like the pictures

Good location and free laundry on site. Bathroom could use a deep clean.
