Xichengyi Inn

We can say only positive things about our stay in this amazing Inn. First, we were impressed by the hall and common area with heartwarming photos on the walls and picturesque postcards that we received as the present from the hotel owner Chai Chai. We talked a bit about our plans and we were shown to our room. We were so good cared during those 2 days of stay: Chai Chai prepared hot water for me, whenever I needed it, she ordered local milk tea for us to try, it was delicious. Also she has a very nice dog, so kind and playful. Her husband helped us to organise bus tickets back and on the day of our departure Chai Chai drove us to our ride. She also made a nice gift for us - a Tibetan-patterned coasters handmade with the popular "bean stitching" craft that's currently trending in China. Moreover, accommodations are really cozy and spacious. On the highest floor there is a terrace with many tables and seats and panoramic mountain view. We sat there and enjoyed. We’ll definitely come back and advise this place to our friends. Thank you, Chai Chai and to all your family! You are the best!

I think the best thing about this hotel is definitely the owners. Really warm, friendly people. Of course that’s pretty common in China in general, but here I honestly felt especially comfortable The owners are apparently also very talented linguists - they taught me a few extremely useful Chinese words, so now I’m pretty sure I’ll survive anywhere in China)) The hotel is a bit far from the centre, but honestly that can actually be a plus. It’s quiet, away from the noise of Labrang, and shared taxis cost almost nothing. On top of that, they personally gave me rides into town and to the bus station few times So overall, a huge thank you to you both. I really wish you success with the hotel - it’s obvious that you genuinely care about what you’re doing

This stay was easily one of the highlights of my entire trip. The hosts are genuinely the most welcoming people I’ve encountered throughout my travels. From the very beginning, their hospitality was unbelievable: they picked me up right at the bus station when I arrived, and they even dedicated an entire day to taking me around by car to show me the local sights. In the evenings, despite the language barrier, we all gathered together to chat, laugh, and share drinks. If you're looking for an authentic experience with incredibly generous, thoughtful people who treat you like family, this is the place to be.

The hosts went above and beyond to make my visit exceptional. They arranged a private yak butter tea-making class with a local ******* woman, recommended excellent local restaurants, and even gifted me a thoughtful local souvenir. The room itself was comfortable and equipped with everything I needed for a pleasant stay. The location is ideal for anyone seeking peace and quiet, making it especially well-suited for a restful getaway while visiting the monastery. The tranquil surroundings ensured a great night’s sleep every night. The hosts also offer convenient transportation to nearby attractions, which made exploring the area effortless. Their hospitality and attention to detail truly set this place apart. I would recommend staying here without hesitation.

Incredible stay at the Xicheng Inn. The hotel is very cozy with fascinating decor. I loved spending time in the third-floor library, filled with cultural artifacts, games, and books – you'll never get bored! The hospitality from the hotel staff is also unmatched. I stayed alone but never felt lonely. They take guests on walks around the city to discover ******* culture. This place was a little out of town. Other than that, it is a decent place to stay at during your travels.
