We received full butler service, with a very enthusiastic young man. He contacted us on WeChat beforehand to provide directions to the island and even turned on the air conditioning for us. Upon arrival, he proactively introduced local attractions and suggested touring routes. The room was clean, tidy, simply furnished, well-arranged, and cozy. This hotel isn't heavily advertised and didn't show up on Trip.com's main recommendations. I actually found it in the comments section of a Xiaohongshu post – 'Linggan Anmo, I think that's the name.' A quick search on Trip.com showed high ratings and it wasn't expensive, so I decided to go for it. Before arriving, I was researching island tips and many people advised against staying overnight, mentioning the hassle of carrying luggage up stairs. But then the butler messaged me, and it turns out they have a baggage transfer station right next to the pier! They can help guests get their luggage up to the hotel, and it's easy to find. The night before I left, they even asked if I'd booked my ferry tickets, and when I arrived, they thoughtfully sent me a video of the hotel's location, just in case I got lost. I dropped off my luggage at the pier and started exploring. After wandering around, I headed back to the hotel for the complimentary afternoon tea. The hotel is a wabi-sabi style villa nestled in a small courtyard, very new, clean, and well-designed. Both the courtyard entrance and room doors require a card swipe, which made me feel very secure. Enjoying afternoon tea in the sunny courtyard was incredibly pleasant. The cinnamon tea was delicious, and there were plenty of snacks. The tea set itself was very photogenic. Suddenly, a loud 'thump' startled me. It turned out to be a starfruit from the tree in the courtyard, ripe and falling right in front of me! It bounced and its juices splattered – a truly surprising sight for someone from the north. There were also banana trees with red bananas, which I'd never seen, so I took tons of pictures. After tea, I went back to my room on the third floor. It was also very clean and well-designed, with large banana leaves outside the window providing lush greenery. A fresh green plant adorned the table. The butler had placed my luggage in the bedroom and thoughtfully explained how to use all the room's features. The mini tea bar looked good, but I didn't have time to try it this trip. The umbrella and charging cables were both high-quality, though I had brought my own. The air conditioning had many functions and was quiet. The TV was great – very convenient for streaming shows and playing games from my phone. The duvet and pillows were super comfortable, and they even turned down the bed daily. The bathroom was the best part. It had two bath heaters, one large and one small. The large one was set very high, providing a wonderful 'rain shower' experience, just like the hundreds of dollars storm water spas in Beijing. The butler's responses were also very prompt; I asked for mineral water and it was provided immediately. The cleaning was meticulous and thorough. Breakfast was good – a different Chinese plate each day, including items like 'mianxian hu' (vermicelli paste) and plain noodles. The Western-style buffet included fruit, coffee, bread, and watermelon juice, enough to have a satisfying meal. When I left, they brought my suitcase to the main entrance and even gave me the ferry schedule. So thoughtful! I'll definitely come again.
