Xiamen Wutong Fliport Hotel

I booked two rooms, and the front desk lady upgraded us to sea-view rooms for free, which was lovely. The cleaning staff were also great; they were always attentive and helpful. I've since moved to the Shangri-La and I'm really missing Baisheng now. The service at Shangri-La isn't as good; they charged for an upgrade, and the rooms are much smaller than at Baisheng 🤣🤣. I originally booked four nights at the Shangri-La, but luckily, it's only two now. I regret switching hotels 🫤 Baisheng is excellent, I highly recommend it!

The room, windows, and bed were all very spacious. I booked a city view room, and since it was on the corner, I actually had a perfect sea view too! I didn't even want to leave the room; just sitting there enjoying a cup of tea was incredibly relaxing. Everything you could possibly need was provided: a safe, tea-making facilities, an extra duvet, and even hand cream – things you don't find in other hotels. Taking the kids to the guest facilities downstairs made time fly by. The only slight downside was the lack of a laundry room, so I had nowhere to dry my clothes after washing them!

The room was a bit old, but it was kept clean. The downstairs area was lovely with lots of greenery and fresh air. It was also quiet around the hotel, not noisy at all. Overall, my stay was decent, and it offered good value for money.

As a ********* traveler, staying at this five-star hotel for my last night was the perfect reward after more than ten days of independent travel across the mainland. Wutong Wharf is right next door, just a 5-minute walk with my luggage, so I didn't have to worry about traffic or lugging heavy bags in and out of a car trunk. The hotel has a dim sum buffet restaurant at lunchtime and also offers a buffet in the evening. Breakfast comes highly recommended – it's incredibly diverse and exceeded my expectations. Starting at 6:30 AM, we could enjoy a leisurely, hearty meal before walking to the pier, making for a perfect end to our over ten-day journey.

Check-in was quick, and the staff were all polite and attentive. The room was clean and tidy, and the common areas felt comfortable and looked upscale. The breakfast had a rich variety. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

Facilities: Good Cleanliness: Good Ambiance: Good Service: Good The kids had a great time and slept comfortably. We had to pick up the children's toothbrushes ourselves. Breakfast required queuing, and we didn't get to try the sea activities because the weather was too hot. Overall, it's great that the price didn't increase during the holiday season.

The concierge, Robin, was a great help! He arranged for my luggage to be checked through directly and even gave me a fast-track security pass, which made everything so quick and easy. The service all around was excellent, thumbs up! 👍🏻

Traveling with our two-year-old was perfect here. We stayed in the hotel for two days and didn't feel the need to leave. Sand digging, the kids' club, and swimming kept us fully occupied. Both the buffet and the Chinese restaurant were good; we ate there for two days straight. While not exactly cheap, the food was definitely tasty. The butler service was very thoughtful. They prepared all the requested baby amenities, and were always helpful whenever we had questions or needed assistance. The sea view room was beautiful. There were a few minor points that could be improved: The front desk staff's attitude was quite average. The bed rail was a bit old, even somewhat deformed. There were no USB charging ports in the room, and the bathroom lacked an exhaust fan. We came before the holiday rush, so it wasn't crowded at all – sometimes we even had the kids' club all to ourselves. However, it's hard to say how often the kids' club is cleaned; it didn't look particularly spotless on the day we visited. Overall, I'd probably return for the sea view and the food, hoping for some improvements.

This Xiamen Baisheng Wutong Hotel is conveniently located on the eastern side of Xiamen, right by the coast. The hotel service was also great; they proactively upgraded me to a sea-view king room.
