Desti Youth Park - Xiamen

I've been wanting to stay at 'Backpacker Ten Years' in Xiamen for a long time, and I finally made it today. The location is incredibly convenient – just a 5-minute walk to Douxi Road BRT station. It's super easy to get anywhere, whether you want to pick up some vibrant flowers at the flower market, take a stroll in the park, or watch planes fly low over Qingshui Palace. Even more delightful is the 'Degeneration Park' hidden on the rooftop. It's so creative and brimming with artistic vibes, adding an unexpected touch of comfort to this trip.

Pros: 1. **Convenient Location**: Less than 2KM from Zhongshan Road Walking Street and very close to the Eight Market. There's a Douxilu BRT station right outside, making it easy to get around. 2. **Great Room Amenities**: The room facilities are pretty good. The bedding is comfortable – not too soft – and the Laifen hairdryer is excellent. The bathroom and toilet are spacious, and there's a dedicated rack for hanging clothes, which is very convenient. 3. **Separate Areas**: The dormitory area and guest rooms are managed separately, ensuring privacy and minimal disturbance between the two. Cons: 1. **Strong Cooking Odors**: There are restaurants both upstairs and downstairs, and a strong smell of cooking oil can drift into the room starting around 10 AM. 2. **Noise Issues**: The room insulation is very poor. It's quite noisy, with people chatting loudly in the common areas as late as 1 or 2 AM. 3. **No Housekeeping Services**: There's absolutely no housekeeping. I stayed for 3 days, and no one cleaned the room or replenished toiletries.

Excellent! The environment is great. No smoke smell, and the bed in the room was clean. There's a free water dispenser in the common area with plenty of seating. Plus, there are daily activities; I stayed two nights, and one night was a movie screening while the other was a folk music special. The atmosphere was fantastic! I'll definitely stay at Backpackers again next time I'm in Xiamen! 🥰🥰🥰

Wow, Xiamen is such a beautiful city! I definitely want to visit again! The hostel I stayed at was also great, with a good atmosphere, clean and tidy, and excellent service! A truly great experience.

Extremely satisfied! The location is super convenient, and the room is very large, spacious, and clean! The front desk staff (both male and female) were also very gentle and provided excellent service. The only downside is that the soundproofing might not be the best, but they did provide earplugs in the room.
