Xiamen Qian Mansion-1929 (Zhongshan Road Maternity and Child Zhenhai Road Subway Station)

This guesthouse boasts a vintage Republic of China era (1912-1949) aesthetic, making it a must-stay for retro enthusiasts, photography lovers, and history buffs. It's more than just accommodation; it's like a cultural journey back in time to the ROC period. They even offer complimentary cheongsam rentals on the first floor. The rooms are clean, and the service is incredibly warm and friendly. They also provide snacks and tea. I'd definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Xiamen.

The B&B's location is excellent, very close to Zhongshan Road. Since we were traveling with kids, we booked the loft, which was great value for money. The century-old house is absolutely beautiful and very well-preserved. All the staff, both the ladies and gentlemen, were super nice. And most importantly, the cat was so well-behaved! 😻

The hotel was a delightful surprise overall. First off, the location is fantastic, right in the heart of the city with excellent transportation links, including direct subway access. Despite being in a bustling area, it's tucked away down a quiet alley, housed in a beautifully maintained hundred-year-old building. Every staff member was incredibly warm and friendly. With the hot weather in Xiamen these past couple of days, they even reminded me to take a bottle of water every time I left. The room itself was simply furnished, clean, and tidy. They also offered afternoon tea and late-night snacks for guests, showing thoughtful attention to detail in every aspect. Upon check-out, they even gave me a small souvenir. Invoices were issued promptly. Although I only stayed for a little over a day, it was a very pleasant and memorable experience. An absolutely amazing hotel! The location, ambiance, and service are all unbeatable. It's so picturesque, perfect for photos! I've already recommended it to so many colleagues.

The old money aesthetic of this villa is truly on point! However, the soundproofing in the rooms isn't great. Being tucked away in an alley really gives you a taste of local life, but it's a bit inconvenient if you want to go to the beach.

The environment: The courtyard is very clean and has an antique charm. I really like the民國 (Minguo era) style.

The hotel is beautifully classic with excellent facilities. The staff are warm, professional, and responsive. The bedding is fantastic – just the right softness and thickness, ensuring a great night's sleep. There are also four adorable, lazy cats roaming the courtyard, which is a lovely touch. They offer tea during the day and peanut soup in the evenings. It's incredibly close to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, making dining very convenient. Despite being in a lively area, it's tucked away in a residential alley, offering a peaceful retreat – a truly excellent location.
