Swiss Grand Xiamen

First, four points that deserve high praise: 1. **Excellent Service:** Staff were always on hand at the hotel lobby entrance to help with car doors and luggage when getting in or out. 2. **Spacious Design:** The hotel lobby has a grand, high-ceiling design, and the rooms are sufficiently spacious. 3. **Well-Equipped Gym:** The gym is large and has a wide variety of equipment. 4. **Varied Breakfast:** The breakfast selection is extensive. And three points that need improvement: 1. **Unpleasant Odor:** The hallway on the 16th floor, as well as my room, had a strange smell like a laundry room and drainage pipes. The indoor ventilation was poor. 2. **Insufficient Delivery Robots:** There weren't enough delivery robots, so most food deliveries had to be left in a locker in the hotel parking lot, requiring guests to go down and pick them up themselves. 3. **Limited Power Outlets:** The double room only had one power outlet by the bed, which isn't very convenient for guests staying in this room type.

The Swiss Grand Xiamen boasts an excellent location, with Nanputuo Temple, Xiamen Island Ring Road, Zhongshan Road, and Xiamen Railway Station all within easy reach, making getting around incredibly convenient. The hotel staff provide exceptional service, paying great attention to both the guest experience and dining experience. The hotel's location is excellent, facing Lujiang River, and it's just a few minutes' walk to Zhongshan Road. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the room directly face Gulangyu Island, offering an unbeatable view.

Before coming to Xiamen, I saw many online recommendations for this hotel, so I decided to give it a try. The hotel's exterior is generally good, though the rooms are a bit dated. However, the sea view is excellent, with Gulangyu Island directly outside the window. The location is superb, very close to the ferry and Zhongshan Road, making it convenient for getting around. The room hygiene was fine, and the breakfast was also decent, though children are charged extra.

I really hope the hotel's cleaning staff would be more thorough. I'm not sure if it was mosquitoes or some other bugs in the room, but after one night, I woke up with several bites all over my body. They were incredibly itchy, ugh!

The room was spacious, and Aunt Yanhong, the floor manager, was very kind and provided excellent service.

This is an older hotel, and you can tell the room decor is a bit dated, but the service is excellent. The staff member, Huang Shaoling, was very thoughtful; she knew we had children and folded an elephant for us, and we even received a gift at checkout. The location is also great, right by the sea.
