Sheraton Xiamen Hotel

Staying at the Sheraton Xiamen with my child was an experience that exceeded all expectations! I contacted the hotel in advance, and they promptly arranged for a bed rail, children's swimming ring, toilet seat, and step stool. The kids' amenities were comprehensive, making our stay with the little one very reassuring. The service response was incredibly timely; any request was practically resolved immediately, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The room hygiene was impeccable, and the bedding was clean and comfortable, with attention to every detail. The location is also fantastic, right next to SM City Plaza, making dining, shopping, and strolling around incredibly convenient when traveling with kids. The breakfast selection was rich and varied, and my child thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. I highly recommend it for families traveling with children, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Xiamen next time! Excellent value for money!

As an older Sheraton property, it's expected that the hotel facilities are a bit dated, but the cleanliness was impeccable. We booked an executive room, and the lounge offerings were decent. The pool was a bit small, but the gym was very spacious. The front desk offered an upgrade to a suite, which was nice, but we declined since we were traveling as a couple. Still, we appreciated the gesture.

The hotel's location is excellent; it's close to everything, and there are many snack bars within walking distance. The subway is also nearby, which is great after a long day of sightseeing when you're too tired to go far and just want to eat, drink, and listen to music. The only thing I'd mention is the hotel facilities; perhaps due to its age, they're not quite as modern as newer hotels. However, the service and cleanliness are top-notch, making it one of the better Sheratons I've stayed in. I'd suggest addressing the damp smell in lower-floor rooms, especially during the rainy season. I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

Over the past few years, I've mostly opted for business hotels, so it's been a while since I stayed at an established five-star. Coincidentally, I've been reading up on hotel management lately, and my friend and I were meeting near SM in Xiamen, so I booked the Sheraton. The service, as expected from a long-standing brand, was consistently reliable. My stay happened to coincide with the hotel's 20th anniversary, so it was quite busy. We checked in around 1 PM, and the room would be ready in about 40 minutes, but everything was handled very efficiently. After checking in, the front desk expedited the room cleaning, so we went up to the 7th floor to swim in the meantime. The pool was very clean, and all the other sports facilities were well-equipped. Our room was on the 22nd floor with a great view of Egret Park's lake. It was very quiet for sleeping, and any service requests were promptly attended to. I particularly loved the scent of the hotel's toiletries. On the downside, the pillows weren't very comfortable, and I recall five-star hotels used to provide welcome fruit, which wasn't available this time. Not sure if it's a cost-saving measure, haha.
