Pan Pacific Xiamen

Facilities: A bit old, but for this price and location in Xiamen, it's definitely worth it! Hygiene: Very clean. Environment: The view from the window overlooks the sea, and it's very bright. Service: The concierge and front desk staff were all very enthusiastic. They even provided pick-up and drop-off service for a concert I attended, which was excellent.

The hotel's location is super convenient, right outside Jianye Road Station on Line 2. It's easy to catch a taxi to various attractions, and the Dongdu Passenger Terminal is about a 20-minute walk away. Check-in at the front desk was quick, and they arranged our two rooms next to each other. It's an older hotel, but the facilities are well-maintained, and the cleanliness is top-notch. Ye Meilan, who was in charge of cleaning our room, is a very enthusiastic and meticulous employee. It was my child's birthday during our stay, and she helped us decorate the room, replaced the batteries in the fairy lights, and even placed a small hand towel specifically on the bathroom sink. She also gave us some great recommendations for attractions in Xiamen. The afternoon tea and evening happy hour food at the executive lounge were both fresh and delicious. We had a minor issue on the first day, and Yao Jieyi, a young lady at the executive lounge, was very serious and responsible in communicating with us. The duty manager that day also responded and resolved it quickly. Later, the hotel's General Manager, Mr. Jin, also followed up, showing how much the hotel values even small issues and resolves them quickly and well. The hotel breakfast offers a rich variety, beyond the usual star-rated hotel options, including local Xiamen specialties like 'mianxian hu' (vermicelli paste). The breakfast hostess was also very professional and had an amazing memory; on our second visit, she remembered us and led us to the same table we had sat at the first day, saying it was 'our usual spot.' We received welcome fruit, a mini-bar, and free parking. Laundry sent in the morning was returned to our room by the afternoon, which was a great touch! 👍🏻 In short, all departments at the hotel have very enthusiastic and professional staff. I will definitely choose Pan Pacific Hotel again next time I visit Xiamen.

The room was spacious with large windows offering a view of Huxi Mountain Park. The view was great, even though it faced north and didn't get direct sunlight. It was quiet at night, which made for a good sleep. True to its word, the room had mirrors everywhere. The large bathtub was a nice touch, and bath salts were provided, although the drain stopper had an issue that was later fixed. I was happy with my stay and extended for another night. I bought a 500 RMB voucher that included one breakfast. I assumed that since two people were staying in the room, it would cover breakfast for both, but it only included one. To get breakfast for the second person, I had to pay an additional 70 RMB a day in advance. I felt a bit misled by this. The breakfast flyer advertised a must-try Shacha noodles, but then I was told they had run out of Shacha. Overall, breakfast was bland and unremarkable.

The hotel is very clean, and the staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, always smiling. They really go the extra mile, opening car doors and helping with luggage. The room itself is great, on the 20th floor with a nice sea view, though it's a bit far from the beach. It's close to Dongdu Wharf, just a 10-15 minute walk.

Pan Pacific Xiamen Hotel exceeded all my expectations – a perfect score experience! I initially chose this hotel for its concert shuttle service and its proximity to Dongdu Wharf, which would make it convenient for my trip to Gulangyu the next day. I was a bit concerned that a hotel built in 2014 might be showing its age, but all my worries vanished after checking in! The service was truly impeccable: even though there were only two of us going to the concert, the hotel still arranged a private car for pickup and drop-off, providing attentive and thoughtful service throughout. Upon arrival, the concierge proactively opened the car door and handled our luggage. After check-in, they even escorted our bags all the way to the elevator – excellent attention to detail. The room was clean, tidy, and well-maintained; the decor didn't feel outdated at all, making for a comfortable and peaceful stay. The location is superb, offering incredibly easy access to Dongdu Wharf. Both the value for money and the service are top-notch. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Xiamen, and I'll definitely choose it again next time!

The hotel staff were incredibly warm and attentive, especially the attendant on the 17th floor. They were excellent, proactively helping with luggage and opening doors. They really went above and beyond to assist with any request, making my first stay at Pan Pacific a great experience! The only downside is that the hotel feels a bit old. During my two-day stay, there were a lot of foreigners, and breakfast was quite crowded.

The room was great and the location was convenient, so I extended my stay for the remainder of my time in Xiamen instead of switching hotels. The sea-view room offered stunning sunset views, which was a real highlight. It's a shame the weather wasn't warm enough to try out the infinity pool, but I imagine it would have been amazing.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, within walking distance of Bailuzhou Park and Yuandang Lake, offering a tranquil and pleasant environment filled with birdsong and fragrant flowers. However, the hotel facilities are dated, especially the TV, which I'd recommend upgrading soon. The service was great. A peculiar feature of the hotel is the abundance of mirrors – it's the most mirrored hotel I've ever stayed in, and I'm curious about the design philosophy behind it. My stay coincided with 'Bai Tian Gong,' the most important Hokkien celebration for the Jade Emperor's birthday. The hotel lobby even had offerings laid out, which gave us a taste of Hokkien customs. I must say, Xiamen and Taiwan are almost indistinguishable, from their food and customs to their local snacks – they're all identical. This was my third visit to Xiamen, and I explored some new places. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. It offers good value for money, and the breakfast was also quite nice.
