Xiamen Lujiang Harbourview Hotel

The room had a Nanyang-inspired feel. Although the hotel has been open for over forty years, the interior decor, furnishings, and amenities are all very new, with no sense of being outdated at all. We arrived a bit early, but the front desk didn't hesitate and arranged our room immediately. The room was incredibly spacious, and the balcony and windows offered direct views of Gulangyu Island and the sea – truly a prime sea view. (It was especially comfortable working overtime there while listening to the sound of the waves). Every evening, there was a stewed dish, delicious and light. Breakfast is a must-have, especially the made-to-order dim sum items; you'll want to keep ordering and eating them. The location is excellent, very close to Gulangyu, Zhongshan Road, and Xiamen University. It's rare to find a hotel with such a great location and excellent hardware and software – it's uncommon even across the country. I'll definitely be booking here every time I come to Xiamen from now on.

So glad I decisively switched from a disappointing hotel to the Lujiang Hotel! The environment is clean and tidy, the layout is well-designed, and every detail reveals a Nanyang style. The view from the window is pleasant, directly facing Gulangyu Island, and watching the sunset is absolutely beautiful ☀️. The service at every counter was excellent, especially the doorman, front desk, and housekeeping staff 👍. The breakfast on the 7th floor was delicious, and the complimentary local snack meal was so filling it could easily cover a main meal. There's also a free snack bar on the first floor in the afternoon. The only minor downsides were that the sink drained very slowly, and there was occasional noise from harbor ships at night, but these small issues didn't detract from its overall excellence. Next time I'm in Xiamen for a vacation, Lujiang Hotel will definitely be my top choice!

Xiamen Lujiang Hotel, an experience far exceeding expectations! As a heritage building from 1958 with a Nanyang architectural style, it's filled with vintage floral tiles and the charm of bygone eras. From my window, I had a panoramic view of Gulangyu Island, with stunning sunsets right before my eyes. The location is superb, right next to Zhongshan Road, making it convenient to shop and eat late into the night. The service was also incredibly thoughtful and attentive, truly making me feel at home. The breakfast on the 7th-floor terrace was the highlight – enjoying Xiamen snacks with a sea view made this trip to Xiamen absolutely worth it! I'll definitely be back!

This hotel, built in 1958, has a lot of character, and I really loved its newly renovated design. The location is fantastic, right next to Zhongshan Road, and from our room, we had a direct view of Gulangyu Island. Enjoying the scenery from the balcony in the morning and evening was incredibly relaxing. The service was thoughtful, and the breakfast spread was plentiful. The bedding was also very comfortable. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay; apart from sightseeing, we spent a lot of time just lounging around the hotel. As night fell, Gulangyu Island's 'blue hour' was absolutely beautiful.

I stayed at the Lujiang Hotel a few years ago, and now, after its renovation, the experience is even better. The front desk upgraded my room, which had a balcony offering direct sea views and a distant glimpse of Gulangyu Island – absolutely breathtaking scenery. The room's decor is classically elegant with a charming Nanyang (Southeast Asian) flair. The soundproofing was excellent, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The bathroom, in particular, was spacious and bright, with dual showerheads, which is super convenient for families traveling with children or the elderly. The breakfast was varied and plentiful, and I especially loved some of the specialty dishes, like the seaweed cake, eel baked rice, and satay noodles – all delicious. I even had two servings of the eel baked rice; it was unforgettable. The outdoor breakfast area is on the terrace, providing a lovely sea view. The service was warm and attentive. Staff members I encountered in the hallways always greeted me. During the day, they brought fruit and tea, and in the evening, they delivered sweet soup, which was a very thoughtful touch. There were several packs of specialty tea in the minibar caddy. I had intended to take them with me but forgot, which is quite a pity. They seemed to be local Fujian teas; I'll save that for my next visit. All in all, the Lujiang Hotel gets a big thumbs up from me, and I'll definitely be back.

After renovation, the hotel has retained its historical charm while also boasting excellent modern facilities. It's spotlessly clean, and the staff are warm and attentive. The location is superb, right at the entrance of Zhongshan Road, and the 7th-floor restaurant offers a direct view of Gulangyu Island.

The hotel was clean and tidy, with a beautiful and comfortable environment. Our room had a view of Gulangyu Island on one side and Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street on the other. The service was warm and thoughtful. I'd like to thank the hotel's reservations department staff for always answering our questions. A special thanks also goes to a kind lady from the catering department. We arrived late for breakfast when they had already started clearing up, but she was so responsible and worried we'd go hungry that she went to the kitchen and brought us two bowls of warm oyster vermicelli. The hotel also offered a complimentary travel photoshoot and a set meal at the sea-view restaurant.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The view is also great, with direct sights of Gulangyu Island. A special shout-out to Zhu Yan Ji Qipao Photography on the first floor of the hotel – they were very responsive to messages, and the makeup artist and photographer were professional and skilled. The photos were ready quickly, and they captured us beautifully! 👍
