DoubleTree by Hilton Taizhou Shenxianju

After visiting Guoqing Temple, I planned to go to Shenxianju. I searched around and chose the DoubleTree by Hilton. I arrived close to evening and was even given a handmade cookie. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Shenxianju. The underground parking garage is very clean and even has a Tesla Supercharger. The staff were very friendly and the room was spotless. The balcony was fantastic with great views. Breakfast was extensive with many choices, and the waitstaff were all wonderful, even enthusiastically recommending local attractions. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hygiene was unbelievably bad! The pillows were covered in black debris, and the bedding and desk surfaces had long hairs everywhere from the previous guest. My feet were literally sticking to the hair. It was clear nothing had been changed or cleaned. The so-called cleaning was just a superficial pretense; there was no hygiene to speak of. The wooden shelf by the sink was peeling and splintering, and my child actually got scratched when we checked in, which was so dangerous. It was an extremely poor experience, very disappointing, and I do not recommend staying here with children.

The room was pretty good, nice and quiet, and close to the scenic spots. It was decent, and the service was good too. The front desk staff were excellent, and the security guard at the entrance was very patient when we parked. I'd definitely stay here again next time. The only downside is that there aren't many good food options nearby.

I booked a room for 1400 yuan a night without breakfast, but the front desk provided breakfast for one person, so I hope to give it a good review. Upon checking into room 8303, I was immediately annoyed by the wall blocking the balcony upon entering, which ruined my mood and made the entire trip frustrating. Four of the two-prong sockets in the room were broken: two didn't work, one wouldn't fit, and one fell out after being plugged in. The two on the bedside table were especially inconvenient as they were both broken.

The elevator lobby and second-floor corridor had a strong odor from the renovations, and the room had a damp, musty smell. The weather was also quite muggy yesterday, and the air conditioning unit might not have been turned on, as it was ineffective even after running all night. Most importantly, for a hotel at this price, isn't it unacceptable that the bed sheets had holes?
