This hotel boasts an excellent location, nestled within the Chuanwan Nineteen Peaks and a gorge along the Hanfei River. It's quite a large property, and you can even take the 'Dengyunti' (Cloud-Ascending Ladder) to the mountain top. Right outside the hotel is a popular influencer village. The best part about this hotel is probably the rooms. Even the most basic ones start at 80 square meters, making them incredibly comfortable. It's generally very quiet here, as outsiders can't easily enter. There are many hiking trails right outside the hotel, and you can also join the hotel's organized hiking activities. They offer some family-friendly activities too, but our kids are older so we didn't participate.

The hotel is ideally situated between the Shijiufeng and Hanfeijiang scenic areas. There's a path from the hotel that leads directly to Xiayanbei Village, making it perfect for a three-day trip. The two-bedroom villa is great for families, with a living room and dining area on the first floor, and two spacious and quiet bedrooms upstairs. The hotel's shuttle service is always available on demand. Breakfast offers a wide variety, including many local snacks. The hiking activity was the highlight of our stay. The guide was very professional, and each person received a trekking pole. Leaders at both the front and back of the group provided excellent assistance, showing great patience and care towards older guests with average mobility. We truly enjoyed a private wilderness experience. The handicraft activity, however, was quite average and more suited for children. I'd suggest offering more sophisticated activities for adults, such as coffee grounds painting or handmade soap making, as coloring felt a bit cheap. Upon checkout, we were even given pastries, fruit, and water for our journey, which is a thoughtful touch for those driving. Overall, a fantastic experience! Our butler, Helen, was friendly and always ready to help with any request.

Nestled within the breathtaking Chuan'yan Nineteen Peaks canyon, this hidden gem is the ultimate luxury wilderness retreat. Perched beside the Hanfei River, it offers an immersive mountain ambiance. Each guest stays in a private, stand-alone villa, with ample space between buildings ensuring maximum privacy. The rooms are expansive, featuring panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the stunning mountain and river views. All villas come with a scenic balcony, Guerlain toiletries, a capsule coffee machine, and a complimentary minibar. You can even enjoy the tranquil forest scenery from your bathtub. The dedicated butler service is attentive yet discreet. They proactively coordinate your itinerary, respond promptly, and provide thoughtful touches like welcome fruits and turn-down service with bedtime snacks. The on-site shuttle bus is available on demand. The front desk staff kindly upgraded our room for free. The hotel boasts a wealth of amenities, including the iconic Cliff Cloud Ladder, which offers panoramic canyon views from the top, an outdoor pool, a spa, and an equestrian center. The overall service is understated and non-intrusive, seamlessly blending with the natural surroundings, making it perfect for unwinding and rejuvenation.

The room was very comfortable and private, with a living room perfect for playing cards and chatting with friends. The service was also good; there were even fireworks during the Mid-Autumn Festival. After taking the cable car up the mountain, there's a tea house with excellent views. Highly recommended.

The hotel's environment is excellent. Even though it's in the mountains, it's very close to the highway exit. At this time of year, there's a pleasant osmanthus fragrance in the air, and lush greenery everywhere. My baby also had a great time at the hotel. Our butler, Helen, provided very attentive service, offering a room upgrade and late check-out, and promptly responded to our requests. It was a wonderful experience.

First and foremost, a huge thank you to my butler, Helen, for the prompt service. Not only did she help upgrade my room type, but she also thoughtfully sent my student a birthday cake. And when I left, she even gave me double the complimentary gifts! Secondly, I was absolutely amazed by the lush greenery of Xinchang. With its beautiful mountains, clear waters, and stunning scenery, Anantara has truly leveraged this to create the Qingya Yougu hotel here. It's not just an escape from the world, but also a serene and luxurious experience. Finally, a small suggestion: during dinner, the service staff seemed a little stretched and not always prompt – though I can definitely understand why.

Let me start by explaining how to get from Anlan Xinchang to the popular Xiayanbei village (something rarely mentioned online!!!) ⬇️⬇️ You call the local businesses and tell them you're coming for a meal. The owner will pick you up and then drive you back to the hotel after your meal. (Personal experience: This usually works for restaurants, but not for coffee shops.) Now, let me share my personal experience of a three-day, two-night stay. First, the pros ✅👍 1. The hotel's location is truly superb: nestled by mountains and water, each room is a standalone villa. 2. The hotel's 'Dengyun Ladder' (Cloud-Ascending Ladder) is a major highlight. Taking it to the clifftop for afternoon tea is truly a delightful experience. The combination of the ladder and clifftop afternoon tea offers a unique experience and is very photogenic. 3. The cleaning staff (aunties) are very diligent. They keep the rooms spotlessly clean even without specific instructions. 4. The cocktails at the pool bar are delicious. Enjoying a drink 🍹 with the blue sky, white clouds, green mountains, and the pool is truly blissful. Now, let's talk about areas for improvement ⬇️❌ I'm only mentioning these because I don't want such a well-located hotel with great views to go to waste. I hope the details can be improved! This would provide a better experience for future guests, rather than just good photo opportunities. 1. The staff answering the phone and the front desk staff processing check-in were impatient 👉🏻 During my two-night stay, I proactively called to ask if there were any room upgrade benefits. The staff member on the phone was impatient (they had a condescending attitude, as if they were a knowledgeable expert explaining things to a naive person). 2. Many staff members didn't have the patience to listen to guests. Questions were interrupted before they were finished, and the answers weren't even what the guest asked. This was very off-putting. 3. The shuttle service is really infrequent!! Every time I called for a shuttle, I had to wait for about 10 minutes. The response time is too slow!! The staff explained: "The hotel is too big..." Coincidentally, I stayed at 4 resort hotels this holiday, 3 of which had shuttle services, and they were all very large, but Anlan had the slowest response time. 4. The staff are not enthusiastic. Many don't proactively greet guests... The shuttle drivers' tone of voice was less polite than the guests'... I think this is an issue with the hotel management ❌ For example, with the shuttle service, operating outdoors in the summer heat means their workload is severely increased due to understaffing. It's so hot, it's genuinely hard for them to maintain a good attitude and temper. 5. Communication with the front desk was difficult and unprofessional... I told the front desk I wanted a shuttle to take us around to see the hotel's scenery (not during peak hours). However, when the shuttle driver arrived, he said he knew nothing about it... My friend couldn't find her hair tie and just wanted to ask the front desk for one (a cleaning lady had come to tidy up during that time). The front desk asked the cleaning lady to take the trash to the room, and the lady looked so pathetic, almost having to dig through the trash to prove it... We just wanted a hair tie, and the person in the middle of the communication was truly speechless, making the cleaning lady look pitiful. 6. The hotel breakfast variety is not extensive, and the taste is very ordinary. 7. The placement of trash cans in the room is unreasonable: in such a large room, there's only one trash can in the bathroom and one at the sink. There should be another trash can for general waste in the room (although we called the front desk and asked for one). 8. The hotel's pool setup is also unreasonable. In the hot summer, the outdoor pool has no shade, making it easy to get sunburnt when playing in the water. Coincidentally, two days before staying here, I stayed at another resort hotel. Their clifftop infinity pool had a tree planted without compromising the aesthetic, so even when playing in the afternoon, there was some shade! This way, the pool wouldn't just be a decoration in mid-summer, but genuinely usable! 9. The tissues were not new and unopened; they were only delivered after I called... 💰 Price: 4000 for 2 nights on a weekday during summer vacation. This was already a super discounted price after a group purchase. For a hotel that normally costs at least 2500 per night, the details really need to be improved. Don't disappoint future guests.

Pros: 1. The hotel is nestled among mountains, close to a small waterfall, with 100% greenery and absolutely stunning views. 2. Professional service – they even upgraded our room despite high occupancy, which was a pleasant surprise. 3. The hotel has its own private elevator to the mountain top, with no other tourists around, making it incredibly peaceful. Cons: Strictly speaking, there are no major flaws. Some younger staff members were a bit perfunctory and cool. As a guest, I empathized with them working in such an isolated place with limited entertainment at a young age, so I didn't expect too much. The hotel's public areas are vast, and all rooms are villa-style, making maintenance quite challenging. Therefore, I was able to overlook minor issues like hard-to-reach dusty corners and damaged equipment. Summary: A top choice for escaping the world; I would definitely come back.

All-villa accommodations, with over 80 sqm, are exceptionally comfortable. The hotel's cable car provides direct access to Xiayanbei village through a small gate, which is very convenient. The views on a clear day are absolutely stunning! Just a heads up, the mosquitoes by the outdoor pool are quite vicious; I got bitten a lot, so be sure to take precautions. Dinner was excellent, everything we ordered was delicious. Breakfast, however, was a bit more on the ordinary side.
