Cheap, acceptable hotel right outside the railway station. Old but maintained well, good if you are on a budget

The location is near the train station. If you drive a car, you can park it downstairs, but it’s really hard to find the parking entrance. We did not manage to find it. The hotel service was nice, and they took us to the parking lot later to show us where it is. Otherwise, it’s easy to locate the hotel from outside. The room was clean and spacious. The wifi was not working, and the person who could fix it was not there since it was late. Therefore, we connected to the other room’s WiFi but the connection was not good. The bed was a bit short for a tall person.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train station, very close and convenient. Hotel staff was very friendly and checkin was fast and smooth, the rooms are excellent, clean and very comfortable, would definitely stay again.

The location is great, however because there is the bus station next to it, a lot of people stare at foreigners and try to offer a ride / taxi. They are following and are more annoying than on other places in China. However, the stay itself was good.

Just perfect location just outside the station, extremely good value for money. Everything is good! I would stay here again when visiting xining!

Hotel near bus and train station. Very convenient

Good overall, location is close to train station but a bit far from the city and there is no taxi pickup available closely, so you'll always have to walk 200 m or so to the next road. Having no AC was uncomfortable in August, temps were around 28C all the time. I would stay here again, but not in the summer

The location is wonderful if you need the train, as it is literally just outside the train station, less than 10 minutes' walking from your train. We needed the day room to rest between the morning and evening trains, and it works well for us. However, there are some issues we did not like. 1. We booked and paid through Trip, but at the receipton (we checked in early, which was great!) the receiptionst requested 100 rmb, which he said was a deposit that must be paid on the spot, and will be refunded in the morning. This was suspicious to us because nothing of this sort was stated on Trip, and no other bookings in China we made through Trip ever required any deposits, even less so in cash. When I showed him the original booking and payment, and insisted that we are only taking the room for the day, he stopped insisting on the "deposit." 2. The room used to be very nice, indeed, and preserves some of that niceness still: the bed is wonderful, with crispy linen, multiple different pillows, and very clean. the bathroom is nicely decorated and contained basic amenities, and the storage space is wonderful and spacious. However, like in some other Chinese hotels we stayed, the indicators of maintenance are the shower and the carpeting. In this room, the bed is super clean, but the bathroom and carpeting are either poorly cleaned, or not at all. We found hair and even a wrapping in the shower, while the carpeting in the room, elevator, and corridors was not cleaned in a long time. And yet, there are some such nice touches in this room, like the living creeper placed in a small vase in the bathroom, or the very nice wardrobe. The room is currently missing a fridge (although there is space for it), and it has not AC, although the corridors are cooled well. Instead, there is a fan, which in the afternoon heat barely helped.

The hotel is very well situated, very close to Xining railway station and walking distance to the ceter and muslim mosque. However the room was very old and nit clean. The biggest problem was the cigarrete smoke.

It was ok, but the room was very hot. They told us in advance that they did not have aircon, but I didn’t think it would be that bad. A good place to spend a night close to the train station with little expectations

The hotel room doesn't have air conditioning and it was very hot during our stay in end July. The good point is that this hotel is located next to the Xining railway station.

Booked for the location, and which turned out to be the only good thing about the hotel.

The girl who checked us in was a godsend. We arrived on a particularly freezing evening! She took the initiative to upgrade us to a room facing the inner courtyard as it was warmer. The location is perfect, right next to the railway station with a few restaurants next door for dinner. Take a short stroll across the river and it's the herb wholesale market with plenty of breakfast options around. It's a bit dated but it's good for transit. The spectacled girl at reception in the morning was horrible though. Bad attitude!
