I chose Qinghai Hotel again because of my fond memories from years ago. It's nestled beautifully against a mountain and by a lake, making the environment lovely and convenient for getting around. This time, Qinghai Hotel has been renovated and upgraded, with improved facilities and more personalized and smart services. If I come to Xining again, I'll definitely choose Qinghai Hotel.

One of the best hotels I have been to in China. And that is saying something, with that high a competition in China. It is located in a very convenient point of the city, which is within 1-2 km to the food and shopping districts of the Xining Center. We got the superior queen room, which is the standard, and it comes at a very cheap price. Beautiful, old-fashioned room, large, with a desk and a comfy bed. Bathroom was nice, with both shower and a bathtub. We didn’t use the amenities in our short stay, but at that price it was worth it even without using them. Overall a very good experience, I would definitely recommend it

Lobby Manager Xiao Li and the front desk staff were very attentive, even giving us creative cultural souvenir fridge magnets. The concierge enthusiastically helped with our luggage. The room was spacious and bright, the bedding was soft, and it offered great value for money.

Qinghai Hotel stands out as the hotel with the most thoughtfully prepared cuisine among all the places I've stayed. The food was absolutely delicious. I've tried hand-grabbed lamb at several places in the Northwest, and Qinghai Hotel's version was the only one that truly made the trip worthwhile. The hotel's location is excellent, the service is spot on, and the views from the window are beautiful. I highly recommend staying at Qinghai Hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Qinghai Hotel. I had expected an old, government-run establishment, but it turned out to be incredibly clean and modern. The service was excellent, and the restaurant food was fantastic too. Because of this, I immediately decided to extend my stay for an extra night.

Location: Centrally located yet quiet, conveniently close to the Provincial Museum and easily accessible by car. Service: Professional, likely due to their frequent corporate guests. We received a complimentary (and delicious!) Qinghai yogurt upon check-in. Facilities: The room was spacious and bright, equipped with a humidifier. We were upgraded to a higher floor, offering excellent views. Breakfast: A good variety of dishes, and items were replenished promptly. The yogurt was delicious. Drawbacks: Firstly, regarding facilities, there was no physical separation between the bathroom area and the bed. While this created an open feel, it compromised privacy and proper zoning. Additionally, the layout was a bit awkward: the tea/coffee station was immediately to the left upon entering, with the wardrobe further inside, which wasn't a very practical flow. Secondly, I struggled to figure out how to switch the shower function on the bathtub faucet, and the water temperature wasn't as hot as in the main shower. Thirdly, when I asked for a to-go cup for coffee at breakfast, the staff member replied (verbatim): 'This is a buffet; you cannot take it out!😑' This felt a bit inflexible and lacked a personal touch. I'd suggest they learn from similar hotels in other popular tourist provinces to further enhance their service. Summary: My stay was in late August, towards the end of the peak tourist season. For a price of 400+ RMB per night, the facilities and service offered excellent value for money.

This was my second stay at this older five-star hotel. From the perspective of just the accommodation, it still offers decent value for money. However, they now charge 70 RMB for breakfast for children over 1.2 meters, which feels a bit stingy. Also, the swimming pool is gone, although other gym equipment is still available.

This is my second time staying at Qinghai Hotel, and I love it just as much as ever! After several exhausting days on the Qinghai-Gansu loop, I was quite tired. The moment our car pulled up to the hotel entrance, a friendly young man immediately came over to help with our luggage, which was a truly heartwarming gesture. The front desk even gave us complimentary yogurt during check-in – much appreciated! The breakfast was varied and delicious, and the food at the Chinese restaurant was excellent too, especially the roasted lamb chops, which were absolutely divine!

perfect place for cosy and quick stay im xining! its a little outdated but it adds to the charm :) the views are beautiful and the staff friendly! breakfast was decent too. there is lots of local info available and a pillow menu which we didnt use but should have! the yogurt on arrival was lovely too

Overall, I'm quite baffled as to why Ctrip would prominently feature this hotel. 1. The room I was given was completely different from the type I booked. The decor didn't match, there was no bathtub, and the area was significantly smaller. This absolutely feels like false advertising! 2. Upon entering the room, there was a strong, unpleasant smell of sewage. 3. Had it not been for the convenience of its location for my business, and the fact that it was already late at night when I checked in, I would have complained on the spot. 4. I've actually attended meetings here in the past and never found it to be this poor. Now, I genuinely feel the hotel's management is an absolute disaster.

It's an established, large, and well-managed hotel with its own parking. We arrived in the early hours and could park our car on the downhill slope near the main entrance without obstructing traffic. The room wasn't overly spacious, but it was perfectly adequate. Toiletries were from Herborist, provided in small tubes. Breakfast was great, offering a good variety. The Qinghai Museum is just a short drive away.

Having meticulously scoured reviews for all hotels in Xining, I settled on Qinghai Hotel, and it proved to be an excellent choice! A somewhat portly gentleman at the front desk provided truly exceptional service – other staff members could certainly take a leaf out of his book! Both the rooms and the breakfast were great. Parking was also very convenient. All in all, it will absolutely be my top pick for any future visits!

For the past two years, I've visited Xining almost annually for work, and Qinghai Hotel has always been my one and only choice for accommodation. What makes it stand out are the incredibly welcoming staff, the plentiful and delicious breakfast, the warm and comfortable rooms, and, most importantly, the truly comfortable beds and bedding. This time, taking advantage of a holiday, my friends and I set off from Lanzhou for a spontaneous Gansu-Qinghai Grand Loop road trip. We were on the road early mornings and late nights every day, so by the time we reached Qinghai Hotel for the night, I slept soundly from 11 PM until 8 AM. It was exactly what I needed to truly recover and shake off the fatigue.

The attentive service is truly a major highlight of this hotel! The front desk staff and the young men in the lobby were exceptional – so warm, enthusiastic, and thoughtful. They helped us with our luggage upon both arrival and departure, and everything from check-in onwards was perfectly arranged and handled smoothly. It contributed to a wonderful trip to Qinghai. Keep up the excellent work, and I hope to see you again!
