Langshan Bajiaozhai Xiao'er Farm House

The room was spacious and the surroundings were beautiful. There's a wooden shed restaurant in the backyard where the owner has planted lots of lovely flowers and plants. You can see mountains and rice paddies, and we even picked some plantain **** nearby to make tea. The homemade smoked bacon and seasonal amaranth were delicious, and the chef in the kitchen is really skilled. The noodles the owner cooked for breakfast were also incredibly hearty and tasty. I was in a rush this time and couldn't stay longer, but I'll definitely come back for a longer visit next time!

The typical countryside landscape is so serene. Just sitting in the yard, enjoying the breeze and fresh air, watching the ducks swim freely in the paddy fields – it feels incredibly tranquil. The meals were unforgettable; everything tasted so natural and fresh. Plus, they served huge portions, so much so that I couldn't finish it all, which was a shame! The owner definitely won't let you order expensive, large portions of chicken or duck (I highly recommend the yellow catfish, it's delicious, and their homemade smoked cured pork is amazing too). Another plus is that it's super close to Bajiaozhai, just a three-minute drive.

老闆老闆娘特別熱情好客。雖然到達時間有點遲，老闆立刻下廚準備晚餐。食材新鮮美味，每餐都煮得好吃。湖南菜出名辣，但是老闆煮的微辣都和口味。 房間，洗手間都很乾淨。環境的確是非常好。喜歡從院子/三樓陽台的田園風景。離八角寨索道站·入口沒多遠。開車5分鐘就到。 可惜剛好那時雲霧多，在高山的能見度受限。幸好有老闆介紹其他的景區。崀山風景區的大門票耐三天，而且有包含辣椒峰和天一巷。推薦住多幾天。  The hosts are very hospitable, and are willing go out of their way to make us feel welcomed. They also genuinely seem to enjoy chatting with and feeding all their guests. They gave tips on where to go, even when the weather was less than ideal. The ticket for the Langshan National Park allows entrance to attractions other than Bajiaozhai, such as Lajiaofeng and Tianyixiang, and is valid for 3 days, so it’s worth considering staying for a couple more days. Being able to converse in Chinese, even a little bit, is a good idea for smoother communication with the hosts. The room was clean and comfortable. Squat toilets seem to be the norm around here, but they provide special stools for those not used to it. Proximity to the Bajiaozhai Hunan entrance and cable car is also convenient. The food, made with fresh, local ingredients, was very good and served in generous portions. Hunan cuisine can be quite spicy, but you can request it to be prepared milder. The Langshan area is beautiful even when shrouded by cloud and mist, and I look forward to going back.

The environment is very good, much better than expected, the boss is also very enthusiastic 😄, very pastoral, especially lying on the hammock in the yard at night, the evening breeze blows, cool and comfortable, you can come here to escape the heat in summer, the homestay is located at the foot of the mountain, the scenery of Bajiaozhai is also very beautiful! ! ! Moreover! It is also very close to the cable car, and it doesn’t take long to drive! ! ! It is especially suitable for summer travel! The food is also very sufficient! It is especially comfortable with three or two friends! There is also a mobile speaker with a microphone in the yard, which can show our singing voice, family! Parking is also very convenient! It is opened by two brothers, and both bosses are very enthusiastic!

The best and largest store in Bajiaozhai, with a very good location, a rice field in front. The boss said that every year the fields are full of rapeseed flowers during the rapeseed season. The boss's wife is a person who loves life. She cleans every corner of the yard and plants flowers and succulents everywhere. She also takes everyone to dance and exercise at night. The meals are all grown by themselves, and the flavor is original, especially their bacon. The kitchen is full of bacon, which is all slow-smoked with wild firewood. Let me tell you another benefit. If you live in Xiaoer's house and there are seasonal fruits, you can eat them for free. We happened to eat pears and peaches this time. The boss said that there are loquats in May and bayberries in June, as well as plums, peaches and pears. Anyway, it's free to eat😀😀

There are many homestays in Langshan. I chose a farmhouse because I felt the environment was good. After checking in, the boss was very welcoming and the food was delicious. The noodles for breakfast were freshly cooked when I came down from Bajiaozhai at noon and went back to the boss's place to eat before returning to Changsha.
