Rebecca Hotel (Xuchang Caowei Ancient Town Pangdonglai Times Square) Reviews

Pros: They proactively upgraded my room type during check-in. Cons: 1. The soundproofing is terrible. The upgraded room was across from a room hosting a wedding, and they started playing wedding games early in the morning. Also, the room doors are very heavy, and people were going in and out non-stop from before 7 AM, causing the doors to slam loudly. 2. I lazily picked up a Pang Dong Lai face towel from the hotel lobby. It costs 8.1 yuan at the supermarket, was priced at 12 yuan at the hotel, but I was charged 19 yuan at checkout. The front desk said it was a mislabeled price. I don't know if it was a genuine mistake or deliberate price gouging, and for just 7 yuan, I didn't bother arguing, but it left a bad impression. 3. While there's a parking lot, parking spaces are very tight and crowded. 4. The hotel prides itself on service and claims to offer various pillows. However, when I asked to change my pillow, they replied that housekeeping was full. Is a hotel that big getting pillows from other guest rooms?

The hotel's location is good, and the surrounding area is lively. The staff are very attentive, and the room size, layout, and floor are all excellent. However, the hotel's decor is a bit dated, and the mattress quality needs updating.

I booked a suite at this hotel through Ctrip, and it offered excellent value for money. The hotel's location is superb, right by a food street, and it's just a 7-8 minute walk to Chunqiu Tower for a show. Parking is convenient, with a lot right outside the entrance, and staff were proactive in guiding me. The hotel facilities are well-appointed; upon check-in, I received complimentary tea and fruit. The hotel breakfast was great, and their handmade noodles were even better than those I've had at restaurants outside.

The hotel is very close to Pang Dong Lai Times Square. They even thoughtfully provided drinks, fruits, and information about all Pang Dong Lai branches, which was a huge help for us visitors to Xuchang.

While passing through Xuchang, I checked several hotels online with an average rating of 4.7 or higher. After comparing their positive and negative reviews, opening times, and renovation dates, I decided on this one. Upon checking in, I was pleasantly surprised. First, the attention to detail truly showcased the quality of service: welcome tea, speedy check-in, luggage assistance, fruit knife delivery, and various thoughtful notes and instructions in the room. It's clear the hotel puts a lot of effort into making guests feel comfortable and well-informed. Second, the breakfast was extensive and catered to diverse tastes, featuring Xuchang specialties like lamb offal soup, savory pancakes, soy milk, along with eggs, corn, noodles, pastries, fruits, yogurt, and freshly squeezed juice – a great variety of options. Third, the ambiance and decor beautifully highlighted the ancient charm of the Wei Kingdom era, with an exquisitely designed lobby, Cao Cao's 'Short Song' poem adorning the corridors, and 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms' themes in the rooms. Cao Wei culture was evident everywhere. Of course, nothing is perfect, and there's always room for improvement. For example, in some rooms, the less practical bathtub could be removed from the wash area and replaced with a shower, and the existing shower space could be converted into a toilet area, creating a more comfortable and functional wet-dry separation. Additionally, some rooms could benefit from more smart amenities to attract younger guests. The environment outside the main entrance could also be beautified and upgraded to enhance its quality and the hotel's brand image. Overall, it was a very good stay. If I have the opportunity to visit Xuchang again, I would definitely choose Rebeca – 'Go for beauty, stay for love!'

Next to the hotel is a scenic river, and within walking distance, you can find authentic and delicious local snacks. The hotel's decor is classic, with great attention to detail and thoughtful service. Highly recommended!

Facilities: Decent, with a unique touch. Cleanliness: Cleaned promptly and thoroughly. Environment: Elegant yet stylish. Service: The service is truly the best; every staff member is incredibly polite and attentive. When they noticed we bought a watermelon, the attendant at 1634 specifically left us a fruit knife. They offer a 'vitality tea' with various thoughtful flavors. Breakfast is also very rich and diverse, with a comfortable and cozy dining environment.

The room is well-equipped, comfortable, bright, and spacious, with a classic and elegant decor. The breakfast is varied, colorful, and distinctive. The complimentary snacks were a nice touch. It's centrally located, making travel convenient, and there's a free private parking lot.

The location is super convenient, really close to the train station, about 100 meters from Cao Wei Ancient City, and only a ten-minute walk to Pang Dong Lai Life Plaza. It's a quiet spot despite being in a bustling area. The decor is charmingly antique, and it's clean and comfortable. The breakfast spread was excellent too. Both my parents and the kids loved it. They even gave us a small snack bag when we checked out!

The hotel was great! I booked early, so the price was really good. There was a small hiccup, but the staff handled it perfectly. They even gave me tips on how to explore 'Pang Dong Lai' (a local attraction/store). The environment was excellent too. I'll definitely book here again if I'm ever passing through.

The service was incredibly warm and attentive. Initially, I was in a room facing the street, which was too noisy. When I brought it up with the hotel, they promptly moved me to a quieter room. Later, when I found the room a bit cold, they even provided an electric fan. The amenities were plentiful, and breakfast was also good.

Great hotel location, and the room was clean and tidy. Excellent value for money! Highly recommended!

The hotel was very old and the rooms were in a very bad condition and dirty. The water was cold and I couldn’t shower plus the AC was not working. It was a total nightmare. I will not recommend to anyone.

We stayed at this hotel for 8 days, and the location is excellent and very convenient, with many shops just a short walk away. The staff service was wonderful, especially the room service staff, “鸽姐”Her ever-smiling face made us feel truly at home. Every day when we returned to our room, we would find two hot drinks on the table along with a small handwritten note. Sometimes, she would even leave a message to let me know that she had helped wash my socks after noticing them on the floor. These thoughtful gestures really touched me and made me feel warm and cared for. Another staff member, Mr. Wang Shuaiju (王帅举), welcomed us when we first arrived and also saw us off when we left. He was friendly and attentive, even reminding us to grab a hot drink before heading back to our room. Overall, I felt very pleased and grateful for the excellent service throughout our stay.
