Zao Shiki No Hotel Reviews

The room was beautiful, with tatami, yukata, tabi, and a little bag with towels to take with you when you go to their proper outdoor onsen that's right across the street. The onsen has good amenities, has 2 baths one indoor that's around 42 - 45 degrees, and outdoor one that's usually cooler around 38 - 42. The best thing about that onsen is that there usually not many people there, often I was there alone. The breakfast was great too, there were at least around 20 - 30 different dishes/foods to choose from. The hotel also sells discounted ski passes, and has it's own ski/snowboard rental service for lower price than most of the rental services nearby (the snowboard was of great quality, the shoes not so much). When we checked out, the hotel arranged a van to take us to the bus terminal as well. Overall, one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at in Japan. 👌🏻

Hotel was nice. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Foods was good. Onsen was perfect. We would come back again for sure^^.

very beautiful hotel, next to the cable car ! the outdoor onsen is great. recommended, and suitable for driving tour. nice food too.

I like the fact that the hotel is not big, not crowded, the view is very beautiful, and there is a massage chair in the room, which is very considerate. The meals were not fancy but they were all very good, and the staff would take the initiative to help take photos. Then there was a male employee named Songmu (I hope I remembered his name correctly) who was super attentive. During dinner, he saw from a distance that we would need something, and at breakfast the next day, he remembered our special needs from the first day and prepared it as soon as he saw us come in. The standard is much better than many five-star hotels. But when we left, the counter staff made a mistake in settling the bill and we had to pay again. It would be great if the staff's level could be average.

The room was superb, the service was very thoughtful and meticulous, the traditional banquet for dinner was very exquisite and delicious, the breakfast was also very rich, there were coffee snacks in the lobby, and the two hot springs were very good

The room is big and tidy, especially the massage chair.

The hotel rooms are clean and spacious. The hot spring is clean and quiet, and you can really enjoy and relax. If I have friends, I will definitely recommend this hotel. It only takes 5 minutes to walk to the ski resort cable car station and rentals. This hotel Zao Onsen is a good choice. The hotel's breakfast is rich and delicious. Will definitely book this hotel again next time I visit Zao.

Originally wanted to book the sister hotel Zangwang International, but because the official website this date is only open to Japanese book, so had to book this, but upon arrival both service, room, dinner, etc. are good 👍

When I made the reservation, there were only a few rooms left. I sent an email to the hotel to ask if it was possible to accommodate three people in a room, as I wanted to add more people, but the hotel did not respond. Later, when I arrived at the hotel, I had to ask my friend to book a hotel nearby. Because the location is very remote and we arrived late, the room we bought included dinner, but the hotel was unwilling to give it to an extra friend to dine together. They were also very strict. Even if we wanted to pay, they were unwilling to give us an extra seat to dine together. They even wanted to kick our friends out. When we asked our friends to stay in the room, someone would come to the room and knock on the door to kick us out. The experience on the first day was not very good. We are very polite guests and we don't make noise or disturb other guests, but it is hard to understand how the hotel treats guests. Still keep saying だめだめだめ

The overall feeling is not as refined as a Japanese hotel, which is a bit disappointing.

The room is spacious, the breakfast is good, the hot spring is clean, and the reception area is considerate. The ski drying room is just to the left of the main door. The hotel does not have enough information about skiing... maybe it is mainly for hot spring bathers.
