good experience, very delicious meals. staff is friendly!

The service was the best, the room was clean and nice. There is no bathroom in the room,just the toilet , then have to bath at the onsen whick we love it.

It was very nice stay at the hotel. I enjoyed the onsen in the hotel and the staffs are very friendly.

Although it is relatively close to the slopes, you can get a shuttle from the inn to the gondola station at any time. The receptionist was very polite and I had a comfortable stay! The person who took me to and from the gondola station was also very kind and took care of me in many ways. Although it is close, I was given a shuttle many times and they never complained♪ This time I only stayed overnight, but I was told that the food was very delicious, so next time I go to Zao Onsen Ski Resort, I would like to stay at this inn with meals included! The service was very good, but the rooms were also equipped with Febreze, toilet deodorizing spray, and paper hand towels, so I was personally very satisfied with the facilities! This inn was a wonderful place that I can really recommend!! I will definitely stay again!

It was not as good as expected. The store was very welcoming. One of the hot spring pools was too cold and there were no toiletries. Breakfast and dinner were good.

Although it is a traditional Japanese-style inn, there are art decorations and piano music playing for a long time, making it feel leisurely and comfortable. The food quality is better than expected, with western elements added, I am very satisfied. The hotel has a shuttle bus service, but no relevant information was provided during the booking process. We walked to the hotel by ourselves, which took more than ten minutes. It was a bit embarrassing in the snow in winter.

There is a shuttle bus to the ski resort and discounted cable car tickets. The dinner is quite sumptuous and comes in three styles. The CP value is excellent. The disadvantage is that the sulfur hot springs only have flush water.

呢間藏王溫泉旅館真係唔錯，CP值幾高！我哋搭巴士去到站之後，行大約10分鐘就到，離去藏王樹冰纜車站亦非常近，其實都算方便。 房入面係傳統日式塌塌米，住落好舒服。溫泉方面，佢本身有室內大浴場同露天風呂。我去嗰陣時人又唔多，差唔多獨佔溫泉，變成私人風呂。 至於嘢食，不論係晚餐定早餐都好唔錯！用當地食材，味道好地道，而且份量足料，食到我哋好飽。整體嚟講，呢間旅館無論環境定服務都好到位，值得推薦！

Matukaneya was situated a bit away from the main street of Zao, in a quiet part of the village. The rooms were large, warm and comfortable. The meals were excellent; they only used local Yamagata ingredients (including the out-of-this-world Tsuya Hime rice) and the dishes were different every day. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were four pools, two natural onsen pools and two hot spring pools. I only went to the natural onsen pool and it was not too hot and very comfortable. The staff were also great in helping us with local hiking routes and with giving us a lift around the village. I did not ski but I note that the hotel was not far from the ski slopes. They also had special deals for the ski lifts for hotel guests.

The buffet in the morning and evening was rich in variety and very delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful and made me feel very comfortable during my stay. I would love to hear from you again.
