The all-inclusive breakfast and dinner at the hotel were thoughtfully prepared. There's also an onsen (hot spring) and washing machines! Cleanliness: Cleanliness is excellent everywhere. There was a slight odor in the hallway on the 4th floor, I don't know why. Environment: Located in the central ski area of ​​Shiga Kogen! The cable car is just a few dozen meters from the hotel entrance; turn right and you'll reach Ichinose! Service: Japanese service is impeccable. Excellent attitude! They do their best to help! Here's my personal experience: When I booked, it seemed only "Japanese-style rooms" were available; all other hotels were fully booked! All other room types at the St. Moritz Hotel were also full, so I had no other choice. I booked without looking further. That's the background; The result was disastrous! When I arrived at the hotel around 6 PM, the receptionist told me that I had booked a "Japanese-style room," which didn't have a bathroom in the room; the bathroom was in the hallway, and I had to go to the onsen on the basement level to shower. I was completely bewildered! As I get older, I need to get up several times a night, and the lack of a bathroom in the room is unbearable! So I explained various reasons and offered to pay extra, but the young man said all the "European-style rooms" were full. He showed us a "family room," which wasn't suitable. I explained again, especially since the older man in our group was almost seventy. Finally, the young man found the owner. I told the owner I had made a mistake, but we were genuinely in need. The owner calmly and quietly checked the system and said, "We'll upgrade you to a European-style room, keeping the original price!" My gratitude is beyond words! They didn't take credit for us in the slightest, nor did they try to add any extra money. They simply and politely changed our room. This kind of helpful kindness is rare and precious! Thank you!
