Hotel Omodaka

Price: affordable Service: good. Just that we were a bit confused, why do we need to give back the key every day? And take back from them after we were back to hotel? Is this the culture there? Room: big. Quite comfortable. A bit smelly but fine after we turned on the air purifier. Our room have a very nice view of the river. Breakfast included. Good hotel to stay if you are driving. Very near snow monkey park.

It was brilliant! It is the same with pictures on this site. They gave me yukata and towel and changed it every day. I had a tea and enjoyed it on my balcony. I tried a futon at first time in my life. I had my own reserved table for breakfast. ❗❗❗The hotel has its own bus with driver, which took me to the Snow Monkey Park and to the station for free! Actually staff was so polite! It is seems like you are someone important. Actually the only one minus that you can't go to all 9 Shibu Onsen's baths, but just to 9th bath only. But the hotel has its own bath even open-air. It was really nice and comfortable accommodation.

Staff and room were exceptional. Pillows were a bit hard but you can ask for softer ones. Main problem was lack of ammenities tho there's a drug store a 10 minute walk away from it to buy some.

Staff was very kind, even with the language barrier, were more than helpful. Rooms were well equipped with extra blankets and mattresses. The hotel bus drove us to the Monkey park and to the train station upon checkout. Onsen was very hot and clean. Would love to come back!

I was later than their last check in and they accommodated me and even made a multi course traditional Japanese meal at 9pm, the food for breakfast and dinner was delicious. The onsen was extremely hot and had an absolutely gorgeous view. The older couple that runs it were incredibly kind and hospitable to me, including a shuttle to the Monkeg Park and Yamanaka Station free of charge. The WiFi was good enough for a Microsoft teams call with zero lag whatsoever. I had a wonderful stay here and if I am back in the area I will stay again.
