The hotel service was incredibly attentive and warm. They even have robots and AI voice assistants that respond quickly and efficiently. The breakfast selection was extensive, and the hotel is located right across the river from Red Street. Overall, it was a great choice.

This 3-meter-wide 'kang' (heated brick bed) has a mattress that's just right – not too soft, not too hard. It's the most comfortable bed I've slept on during my whole trip, as I personally don't like beds that are too soft. Their breakfast gets a thumbs up for the lamb noodles and lamb offal soup. The hotel is located across from Hongjie, about a 1.6 km walk. While there aren't many dining options nearby, the hotel's restaurant is sufficient for daily meals. The view is absolutely perfect.

The hotel's硬件 (hardware/facilities) are beyond reproach; the design is particularly striking. The modern minimalist style, with its red theme, blends seamlessly, giving it a very chic and thoughtful feel. In terms of service, Miaozi at the front desk was fantastic. She was friendly, had a clear approach to her work, and was excellent at handling and resolving issues. We had booked afternoon tea in advance, but learned at check-in that the restaurant was closed. Miaozi quickly and efficiently sorted everything out. When she found out we were going to see the 'Again in Yan'an' performance, she gave us really constructive advice, which greatly enhanced our theater experience. The only minor issue was with the restaurant. The staff were very polite, but the variety and quality of the dishes, along with items not being refilled, clearly indicated an attempt to operate on a very low budget. This might be related to the number of guests, which is understandable.

The hotel is just across the river from Hongjie, offering a beautiful night view. The lobby is incredibly grand and luxurious, making a great first impression! I was also really impressed by the hallways outside the rooms; the overall design has a distinctive 'yaodong' (cave dwelling) style. The room was very clean with excellent facilities and a strong Chinese aesthetic. The complimentary apples, peanuts, and red dates were all delicious! 😋 There was a drainage issue with the shower in my sister's room, but it was handled very promptly by the staff. The hotel breakfast also featured many authentic Northern Shaanxi specialties – highly recommend! 👍👍👍

The room was nice and not too crowded, but the spa wasn't open. Given that it wasn't open during the May Day holiday when there are so many people, I doubt it's ever open on normal days. Overall, Yan'an has fewer people, and its capacity is quite small.

The hotel is huge, and its facilities are excellent; it's probably one of the best in the area in terms of hardware. The cave room is very unique, but the lighting is so dim it really feels like a cave. If the hardware is five-star, then the service is three-star. The service was absolutely terrible, and the hotel's management level was a disaster. We stayed for two days and encountered so many problems that we decisively checked out and moved to another hotel, even though we had originally planned to extend our stay. 1. Because we were watching the 'Return to Yan'an' performance at 7 PM, the front desk, based on the time, booked an 'Embittered Memories' dinner for 5 PM the day before. Later, I called the front desk again to change it to 5:30 PM. When we arrived at the restaurant punctually, the restaurant's front desk couldn't even find our reservation, and the restaurant was completely unprepared. The restaurant staff quickly informed the hotel front desk that due to lack of preparation, all internal hotel guests with reservations were pushed back until after 8 PM. 2. There was a lack of communication or timely information exchange between the restaurant, front desk, and concierge. Given such a major blunder with the dining reservation, I immediately went to the front desk to inquire about the performance reservation I had made the day before for today. From what I overheard from the staff's phone conversation, it seemed they still hadn't made the reservation and were urgently trying to sort it out. 3. The restaurant manager said that because they weren't prepared, they would arrange for the food to be delivered to our room after 8:30 PM. After we returned from the performance, it still hadn't arrived. When I called to inquire, I was told that the reservation hadn't been made again. They then rushed to make it, and it was delivered to our room after 9 PM. 4. Breakfast was an even bigger disaster. The restaurant was quite small, with no usher, and no designated queuing area. The front desk just let people in without any guidance. Everyone had to wait behind guests who hadn't finished eating yet to grab a seat. In the end, we (a family of three) had no choice but to split up and find separate spots to share tables. 5. Not to mention the insufficient supply of coffee, milk, and beverages, the plates were also cleared very slowly. Everyone was doing half a task and then moving on to another. Despite a decent number of staff and not too many tables, it was still chaotic, which again proved the extremely poor training and management. 6. While eating, we saw more and more guests coming down. The front desk informed them there were no seats and to come back in half an hour. A large group of guests left unhappily. However, later guests were seated right away when seats became available. I can only imagine the anger of the large group of guests who waited half an hour only to have to continue waiting. 7. When checking in, we registered our child's information, but the front desk didn't even think to prepare children's toiletries and slippers. When I called the front desk from the room, the robot answered and recorded the request for children's supplies and an extra duvet. Half an hour later, there was still no movement. It was only when I switched to a human operator to complain that they urgently delivered them.

The hotel's overall ambiance is pretty good. My room's balcony directly faced Red Street and the Ferris wheel. Breakfast was quite mediocre, and while the decor style was okay, it lacked refinement. Facilities: Pretty good Hygiene: Pretty good Environment: Pretty good Service: Pretty good

Got to the room and realized the hotel had upgraded me! It's in the new district, very quiet, and has a courtyard style, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The room itself was very quiet with good soundproofing, so I got a great night's sleep.
