Gangyue Hotel (Guilin Yangshuo Shili Gallery West Street)

This is a great place to stay. It has a good location, large beds, parking, and an elevator. I would recommend it to my friends. It's very cost-effective.

This is the worst hotel I've stayed at so far in terms of both experience and value for money. We stayed in a tatami room, and the toilet was practically impossible to flush. The entire bathroom was probably only 2 square meters, and the toilet, showerhead, and sink were less than a meter apart, meaning the toilet was almost always wet. Even washing your hands would cause water to splash onto the toilet. I barely drank any water all night because it was impossible to use the bathroom. There was even a white blob of toothpaste on the bathroom glass door, which hadn't been cleaned. The rooms on the side facing the road were basically unusable for sleeping, as it was noisy all night. Perhaps because it was Chinese New Year, the price wasn't cheap either, and I ended up staying up all night, further enhancing my passive ability to stay up late.

I booked three mountain view king rooms with "(Good view outside the window)" in their names for 378 yuan each, but I was given a room with frosted glass and no window that could be opened. They also refused to refund the price difference, saying that this was supposed to be a mountain view king room (only the small window at the very top could be opened). The manager said that the "good view outside the window" label was just something Ctrip marked. The TV was unusable due to interference stripes on the signal, and changing the cable didn't solve the problem.
